The problem has return. First time turn on, the fans, led, lights, hd, and optical drive turns on but there is no post on the monitor. Normally, there is a ASUS bios screen. The red light next to the memory stay on, normally it would just flash for a second or two and goes away. When I go to...
If you dont care about resell value or what not, you can just move everything to the SATA 3.0 6gb/s ports and if you need more space, get a free pci controller card x1 for more expansion.
This is the first encounter of this system too. Thanks for help guys.
Another question I'm curious about is when you guys start up your computer, does your HD spisn up with a loud noise? If you know what I mean.
I cold boot it and restart and when I do either procedure, it works again. For the cold boot, I shut down, turn the switch for the psu off in the back, unplug the power cord, and wait for 10 sec. After doing that It boot on the first time without problem. Now my system is working fine again. I...
I shut down from the shut down menu. I didn't unplug my psu cord. What is cold boot?
I moved my drives over 2 weeks ago, and made sure they are in the right spots. If I bumped the rams, it should have shown up 2 weeks ago and not now? The thing that bugs me is that why now. Why didn't it...
So after I got the computer to turn on. I turned it off the the problem persists. Power would go on with the hd, optical drive and fans, but bios didnt post and the light next to the memory stay on red. Then I press the restart button then it post and turn on. I have the 1204 bios version. I...
I have had this SB build over a month and everything has been working fine, until now. I tried turning on my computer today and the system and the HD starts up like usual. Then the HD made the spinning noise twice, and continue to do restart spin (usually only once during start up). No post, and...
lol, Cyraxx must not watch the movies or have inside knowledge of food customer service. When you act like a dick towards the employees and demand free food to be satisfied, I can assure you that "extra ingredients" are going in your food. This is why I don't try to pissed of my server or cook/chef.
So I ended up contacting TD for the free SATA controller card. They told me I can RMA with ASUS later on if I want to replace my mobo. Good temporary solution. Hell, I might not even want to replace my mobo since it is too much hassle disassemble and shipping it. I don't have manyy drives so 2...
Finally some response from TD. I would rather get a mobo replace in April or May when its available than the SATA card, since I want to keep the pci slot for other expansion.
Edit: Any news on what TD will do about the RMA later on?
Kind of wish I didn't order from TigerDirect and waited for Amazon to have there mobos in stock. At least Newegg send out emails to their customers. If only Newegg doesn't charge tax in CA, i would buy from them. Otherwise, ill be ordering on Amazon now for free shipping and no tax. If my RMA...
Anyone bought a mobo from TD and had contact them about this issue? For now I'm switching to the SATA 3.0 ports while waiting on more updates and a time to RMA. Sucks having to disassemble everything man
Well, crap. I just finished my SB build a week ago. Got the ASUS P8P67 standard from TigerDirect. I have a relatively simple set up, just 1 1TB HD and a DVD drive on the SATA II 3.0gb/s ports. Im also going to wait to hear more update on this situation. When the time comes to RMA, should I...
I have teh Asus P8P67 standard. Works the first time I booted up and never gave me trouble. I still need to flash to a new BIOS (waiting for an official and stable release). Of course, i don't OC or have any fancy RAID or SSD set up so I pretty much avoid all the problems.
Can you or JJ write a tutorial on how to flash the BIOS for ASUS EUFI? I haven't flash a BIOS before, so any step by step tutorial would be appreciated. Thanks.
I'm not too knowledgeable about the SB Turbo Boost feature. I want to know how does the Turbo Boost work. Do I have to set it in the BIOS or OC to get it to work, or it will do it automatically. It would be nice to have the boost to 3.7ghz once I start playing games like BFBC2, etc.
Thanks.
My system has been running fine every since it was booted up. I'm still on the stock BIOS that came with the mobo, and I don't OC or have any fancy setup like SSD or RAID. Should I stick with the stock BIOS or upgrade to the 1003, or 1053?

Here are my pictures I took. I didn't take a lot of pictures during installation since I was concentrating putting the parts in the correct places. First sets of internal shots are before I did more cables & wires management and hiding. Second sets of internal shots are after I secure more...
Hey guys just finish putting everything together for my system, and everything is running great. Just want to say thank you again for all your time and help. Your advice and tips really helped me to choose compatible and quality parts.
One question, my motherboard still on first BIOS, but I...
Everything is working fine for me. I'm not OCing or have any SSD or RAID system. Pretty simple. I think I'm on the oldest BIOS since I have not flash it since the initial set up. Should I update to the 1253 BIOS if everything is running fine for me?
Edit: Btw I have i5 2500k, ASUS P8P67
Hi, I will start putting together my Sandy Bridge build in 7 hours. It will be my first time building a computer.
1) I want to know if those who have the ASUS mobo, particularly the P8P67 if you guys enable the TPU and EPU switch?
2) So do I need to turn on the TPU for the turbo boost? I...
