Also thinking about getting Mafia 2, Digital Deluxe pack is the best deal I guess?
And what about Medal of Honor.. I was waiting on a deal for Black Ops but I wonder if I should go for MOH now?
As stated on the Thermalright website: Note: Must use with an Intel stock cooler or a down drafting type heatsink like Thermalright AXP-140.
The AXP excluding fan is about 70mm's in hight, that should leave at least 45 / 50 mm of space left. Pull on the Spitfire is an option yes, that's...
The case itself is 260mm if I'm correct, minus say 4mm for the aluminum. That should leave 256mm of space between front and back.
6870 specs are around 246mm, it has the connectors on top of the card, so why should it not fit?
See youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mazv1EJQiuo
And...
Here are 2 images where you can see the connection on the front:
Pic1 - Pic2
Could be the graphics card free bottem space is higher, but to me it looks like it is the problem why a 6870 will not fit.
Fractal Design Array R2, but now I'm thinking about an AXP-140 instead and leave room for a Thermalright Spitfire VGA cooler on top of it!
Hope this will fit on the new Radeon 6870 because it's not listed on there support yet.
I'm not shure yet what fans to use, air intake on front will...
This case should even fit a Radeon 6870 (245mm) if not for the stupid place of the USB port connector on the front. If they placed that 1 or 2 cm's higher there was no problem!
If you put it on a good mount at the wall it's the same as a touchscreen. I don't see a problem on that.
Yes it costs more, but you can do more with it. Better bang for the buck!
Any info on what (high) coolers would be best option?
At this moment it looks like Thermalright Venomous-X fits:
Other options are the TITAN Skalli and I think this Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus
Never mind, I figured you had something like a very large amplifier and a pre. :p
That JVC may sound pretty good but I don't think a DAC will give a very high boost on the sound quality. The amount of Watts don't really say anything about a system, I have a Naim Supernait that is "only" 85...
At first I thought it looked really ugly, but it seems not that bad after all. I don't like the plastic side and top pannels, they could have made these better looking. But I guess it's a good start.
Would like to see a smaller model for mini-ITX.
Take a look at this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EuJvwvome1o
That was the year 2000. Why did it take so long for case builders to implement the rising heat solution?
Nah.. I have a laptop and 3 desktops in total, why should I pay for 4 drives if I can do with 1? Ok 2 as it's at home + work.
The future = small systems + central placed storage. People who buy a big tower these days are insane! :D
Hmm.. that would make it like this:
- Edit:
This would result in having 1x 140mm intake fan for the case, and room for about 100mm for a cold air intake for the H50.
Hot air out for the H50 on the back, to bad this will fux up the back a bit and leave less air-out ventilation for the case...
See here the difference between the back of the SG07 and the Array: very nice hot air opening at the back if PSU gets moved to the front. Why did Silverstone leave that back on the Sugo complete closed, I think it will run much hotter than the solution that I've found right now.
Any...
I think this is a much better solution:
Reading the review of the Sugo 07 here gave me the idea of moving the PSU to the front and use a large PSU cooler like the Titan Skalli.
On the back there will be very large ventilation openings, way more than on the Sugo.
I don't have to do any...
Yeah but the one that comes with the case is only 300 Watts, and that won't be any good for the system I'm going to build.
What I have found is the Silverstone SST-ST45SF 450 Watts witch also is a SFX form factor should fit perfect. I do not worry about cable lenght as there will be plenty of...
Note that there are 2 versions, one with and one without the PSU.
In Europe they are about € 160,- for version with PSU: about $ 218
The version without the PSU is € 115,- that should be around $ 157
Oh wait, I've missed the part that you suggested to have the H50 as air output. That would be possible yes. Good thing to look at. Corsair says it's better to take fresh air in however, but who cares what corsair says.. :D
Back view of the case:
Yeah I've allready figured it would be better to balance the fans. So 3 of the same will be better. I don't know what fans to use yet, 38mm fans is another option.
To partition the front might be a good idea, but I would like room for 1 or 2 SSD's in the front...
Well it's not only the front, the top + side is also made of the same aluminum witch I find a big plus. If build correct and the heat problem gets solved this would also be a less noisy setup than the 05/07 I guess?
I don't have any problem with some extra work, and the modifications on the...
I don't have any problem with some modding.. Yes It's my first Windows based system that I want to build from scratch, but I have worked with a lot of Apple desktops and laptops. I also made modifications to a Mac Cube in the past, so I know what is is to work in tight spaces ;)
I've started...
Planning on building a game system in a small form factor ITX case, and still not sure if I'm going to use a Sugo 05 / 07 or this Fractal Design Array case.
The last one I like most for the looks, but the way it's made it has a few problems with air cooling as I have read in several reviews...
Never mind about that Aerocool, think i'll try a NT06 (have to bend the heatpipes a bit so it turns away from the GPU and also make it a bit higher) and put a slim Scythe under the heatsink blowing down on the motherboard.
http://www.homemedia.fr/tests-guides/197-Silverstone-SG07-5.html
Maybe this is a stupid idea, but what about placing a H50 above the 120mm intake under the PSU?
This way the 180mm fan on top will give perfect airflow on the motherboard, set at low speed.
This way I'll loose the 3,5 Inch bay but there will be space for 2x 2,5 Inch SSD's I think, maybe even...
