Seen some rather interesting non-computer items for sale here and wanted to give it a whirl.
Looking for a little extra cash for a trip and figured I'd try and save myself some ebay fees. Looking for $260, they're selling for up to $300 on Ebay currently. From my research its a very desired...
As the title states, looking for some decent ~Core2duo's for family members to do office/internet shenanigans. I have 2 gb of DDR2 Sodimm laying around so RAM isn't all to important in one of them. Would rather buy from a Hard member than head over to Ebay for obvious reasons. Looking for...
Even the regular Tippman's were amazing. I owned a Tippman, Minimag, and a Shocker over my paintball days and the Tippman was the best, most reliable piece of hardware I used for the duration. Little odd, and considered lower end, but if you're trying to have fun and no hassles, Tippman is...
I have a drive that I can pull several files off at a time, but it will drop off the OS after a short period of time. Whats the best way I can pull some more things off without causing further damage?
I picked up one of these laptops with a broken hinge and its serving me well to this day. Its an excellent way to save a few bucks on a great functioning laptop.
I still run several VGA setups. And what happens when I don't have a DVI cable? Almost everything has VGA ports... If anything I'd like them to keep every fkin port here out. Sometimes all I need is basic display.
My mom is a very talented artist but never got into the digital aspect, moreso due to lack of a "drawing surface" than technological ability. When I showed her some videos and and the Intuitos(?) website and she seemed very interested and was kind of blind to their existence. I have zero...
Yea, I myself don't stream any music and would love a better video streaming service. That was just easy to set up, I had videos transcoding and streaming within the hour. Would love something better though =/
Thats black disgusting nasty dust. Cleaning out smoker dust filled computers is just gross, I'm a smoker but not in my computer room. This guys looks like a pleasant winter scene. I kinda liked the look myself.
A less than perfect method of streaming my videos to multiple devices was with Subsonic. I'm currently looking for an alternative - its clunky and my free trial ran out. BUT on the up side, there is a free trial, so you can give that a whirl and see if it meets your needs.
Wouldn't feel right if I didn't pop in and highly encourage you to buy an SSD =] Just makes for a better experience. And if 256 gigs has lasted you ~7 years you certainly aren't a space hog. Recommendation - any Intel drive I suppose, or the Samsung 840's? With $200 you have a lot of options...
At least you had the credit card chargeback as a backup. After reading you closed that paypal dispute I cringed for you. Hope everything works out.
Seller is obviously flaky for not including a tracking number on an outrageously expensive shipment. There is no excuse for saying "No" to a...
While I agree this is probably a primary focus - consumers here are unlikely more excited/interested about a console release than something we can throw in our computers.
Also every single game I play is not, and likely will never be on consoles.
Agreed - people seem to forget that not everyone has $300+ GPUs. Yes intel is almost always faster, however, its also on a different socket than the OP is currently running, and more expensive. AMD works, regardless of what the benchmark junkies would like to tell you. I find ~60FPS a...
I'm running an 8350 and a 6870 - I can run every single game both smoothly, and graphically enticing. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I play a wide variety of games, and I play games every single day. I also like to have a million things open at once, and I like to spend as little $ as possible.
Just found this
http://www.staples.com/Buffalo-DriveStation-Axis-2TB-Desktop-USB-30-External-Hard-Drive-Black/product_366194
And a $25 off $75 online order coupon brings it down to $65, so I was thinking it might not be a bad deal. What kind of drive can I expect inside?
I agree with Zoda that companies should be shipping appropriate firmware with their products. That being said I also think you're just highly unfortunate with your experiences. I'm running 2 OCZ drives, a Kingston, and 2 Intel's without any issues whatsoever.
I thought there was another one, but I can't remember/find it myself. BIOS perhaps? There is also a program out there that will keep it awake I found off google http://nosleephd.codeplex.com/ A little awkward but you could at least see if this fixes your issue and go from there.
edit: You...
Hard drive might be going to sleep, I can't tell you exactly where it is, but if you fish around in either the drive properties or power management you should be able to find the option to turn it off.
As the title states, I'm looking for a cost effective 1080p Movie watching video card. Nothing fancy just getting the job on the cheap. Any suggestions?
Reviews are terrible man, they just scare the crap out of you no matter what you're trying to buy. I just shoot for a decent percentage, avoid reading too many of the negatives involving DOA and shitty users. It really is a dice roll with hardware it seems though. All in all not terrible odds...
Well I said I would relist it for him with a bit of a shipping charge tacked on. What kind of fees are we talking about? A quick google search gave me some ghetto calculator that said ~$15 on $110 sale. Same ballpark?
I didn't know if this was the right forum to post in but I was looking for a little advice. I put up an ebay listing and someone asked if I'd be willing to ship to Vancouver. My first instinct was sure, why not. But what are the issues/differences between shipping locally and to Canada?
