This is kind of weird. The backlight bleeding on my two displays last night was getting less noticeable, I'd say the centre (worst) one was significantly down, and uniformity way up. There's still a spot on the left screen, which now seems to be the worst one. Unless I was seeing things though...

Grats on your screen! I'm actually using an active DisplayPort adapter to DVI for my third screen. This is what I was using before (all DVI screens only), and DP cables are indeed quite expensive - so I won't be replacing them soon .. I need 3 metres too, for my cabling.
