That's a plus in my case. I tend to run my monitors on lower brightness (to avoid eyestrain/headaches at night) and with the f.lux making things somewhat darker I ended up sometimes spending a few extra seconds trying to locate which screen the mouse pointer is at. Just a preference. I wouldn't...
Right it's only the 4K tvs that can do it (2015, 2016). And so far the "feature" has been retained with the update from Android 5 to 6. I don't believe it's mentioned anywhere officially by Sony and you do need to add a custom resolution. Just like with the old Seiki 4K.
Sony's Android TVs can take a 120hz input at 1080p. Will this end up being the first true 120hz OLED TV? That might be interesting. They also support strobbing for blur reduction... but that might be more difficult to implement here. Will be curious to see if any of these features make it.
The last of us remastered will run at native 4k. And there were a few others too. I'm sure by the time PS4 pro is available there will be even more.
Of course the console can run games at 4k. But that is very subjective. Just like how an older pc from say 2009 can run games in 4k. As long as...
And here I am thinking that my 2006 TC with 100,000 miles is too old and has too many miles... If yours made it to 265K then perhaps I'm worrying a bit prematurely. The "maintenance required" light turned on for the first time though :nailbiting:.
It is my secondary car now... but still.
Perhaps my old Note 4 just had a super awesome GPS chip? Is it even a chip? I dunno. :dead: It worked fine when the only thing above it was glass. But metal made it lose connection.
Pretty sure my Scion is not a tank. In fact it's probably quite the opposite of a tank. I'm afraid it feels like...
Walmart's card readers had chip support since like 2008 if not before. I know this because friends from Europe would attempt to insert their cards and they would totally succeed... Sort of. Only to have the terminal either tell them to swipe the card or do nothing at all. It was the software...
If it was a real pizza. It was dominos though. So I didn't. Once a year I make the mistake of deciding to order dominos (probably because every other place is closed and there's no choice) just to see if it's better. And I am always disappointed. :(
I bought it. For that price it's worth a try. Never had a phone holder in my car before. Normally I was totally fine with it setting next to me and randomly announcing "GPS signal lost" because it was too far from the window.
Few years back (2012) when Chip and Signature cards started rolling out in the US I asked how come they don't support pin especially when the same bank supports it already in other countries. It doesn't really make it any easier to use the card overseas and I was hoping the chip would simplify...
After going through a few of these I almost got a perfect one. But it just had to be put together wrong. Anyone know how to open up one of these? I can't really figure it out.
If I hold the bottom right corner hard with 2 fingers it's perfect. But obviously I can't keep doing that. I tried to...
Not worried about failure. Been running 2 SSDs from 2009 in raid on a database server and they are doing fine still. I wasn't able to use them long on my PC due to the lack of trim/proper garbage collection. The stuttering became too much so I upgraded to a proper trim-enabled SSD. Surprisingly...
I had no plans to upgrade my SSD until NVMe or similar became more affordable so I've been a bit out of the loop lately when it comes to SSD tech. In December of 2013 I ordered a 960gb Crucial M500 SSD and have been satisfied with it ever since.
But now an opportunity arose. I was told I can...
Anyone had their menu joystick start acting wonky?
It was all good and then in the middle of adjusting brightness it decided to become completely random. Up is down, down does nothing, left is right, right does nothing, middle button is a combination of up and enter. Dammit.
And whatever you do. Please no dedicated servers. No one wants those. I really love playing on someone's shitty dialup connection seemingly located in Afghanistan.
Incorrect. It's 300.
Here's proof, just queried it in the console myself:
"fps_max" = "0" ( def. "300" )
notconnected
- Frame rate limiter, cannot be set while connected to a server.
Does it have displayport? My friend's older BenQ monitor supports Displayport audio so this one should too.
DVI doesn't. Not exactly (not officially anyway). It would if you added two hdmi adapters on each end though :P.
At a completely abysmal ratio and he'd lose his existing rewards. In that case Discover is indeed better. Also they don't let you pick any card when you want to do a product change. You have to choose from the cards that they say are available to you.
Sounds like you are on the everyday card or...
So you don't use it but pay the annual fee? Why?
I would suggest to convert it to the no fee version (Blue Cash Everyday) if you are intent on keeping it.
Best buy has it in stock.
Used a 10% of coupon that they mailed me some months back. Negated the taxes and brought the total down to ~760 . This will have to do. Order placed.
I stand by my stance that this monitor was never released and is just a figment of everyone's imagination/evil plot...
Half of the currently available gsync monitors don't support ULMB. Only the ones that refresh at 120hz or faster do.
The AUO 144hz "IPS type" 2560x1440 panel would be the prime candidate for this I'd think.
How is motion blur on this display (1080@120hz)? From what I read in this thread it seems like it should be pretty low.
Is it comparable to say lightboost?
I had that issue too at first. I don't remember how I solved it exactly. But I know there were multiple ways. Check the settings (might be something under power saving).
Will you still have a TV connected to the receiver? I think one of the ways I solved it was to have HDMI link or something...
If you don't want to use a SPDIF cable then you can just setup the receiver as an additional monitor. That's what I did a while back. All works well until a window opens on the fake monitor... lol. Setting the resolution really low fixed that though.
This wait... Please give monitor now.
I want to try out ULMB. Convinced a friend to get a lightboost capable monitor. And then I saw it's awesome power of killing blur. Now I can barely stand my 120hz X-Star (though it also might have something to do with the fact that I have to run it near...
It's not necessary. The 120hz is the motion interpolation feature. MEMC or whatever Seiki calls it. Check your menus/manual. You should already have it.
Call them if you want to make sure that you have the latest firmware. That's probably your best chance at verification.
The 39 and 50 inch...
Those two models are very similar. The 55 inch model runs different hardware that is incompatible with the 50 inch model firmware (it won't even see the update file).
I tested it out before returning.
The 65 inch model is even more different ("new upscaler" as per their facebook page).
1) You can email them. Maybe you'll get a response (still waiting for a response to an email I sent many months ago). Your TV likely has the latest version though.
2) That's normal. Only the 39 and 50 inch do 1080p at 120hz. You might be able to go slightly higher than 60hz. But it will likely...
"All of us" is a very small number compared to the millions+ that don't even know what displayport is. :(
And as you see not even Seiki is bothering give us what we want. After all if we made a big enough difference they'd have a new monitor out with the improvements that we want.
But it...
Prior to returning the 55 inch model I tried getting the 50 inch version's firmware to flash but it wouldn't budge at all.
And just by comparing the menus you can tell that they are definitely different. They have a very similar skin but even that isn't the same when comparing the two.
With the MEMC feature it definitely felt like 60hz+ @ 2160p with film sources. There's multiple levels of the MEMC feature and I wouldn't be surprised if it went up to 120Hz as the highest mode felt like my old 1080p TV set to 120Hz interpolation mode.
Unfortunately it only takes 30hz max as...
Nope. Chip and signature. There's going to be very few Chip and Pin cards in the U.S.
Chase, Bank of America (and FIA), American Express all decided to implement Chip and Signature. With most other banks announcing Chip and Signature rollouts coming in the future.
It's really funny though...
Did you check the color settings under different resolutions?
For me 1080p@120hz has everything set to middle (50) on the user picture mode. Switching to any supported resolution activates the "proper" default color settings.
