Hey there- I’ve got a PS4 Pro I was about to list. Happy to send you pics and details if you’re still in the hunt. I’ve been out of the loop for a bit but I’ve got established feedback here along with many years on eBay and such.

At my res, I am sitting at 3.5 gb (out of 4) with all my Skyrim mods, and that's with in game AA OFF. (using RCRN which does have it's own FXAA). (Skyrim is actually why I got rid of my GTX480s in the first place. 1.5 gb was NOT cutting it with the 2K textures and other eye candy)

I could use another myself - I'm in the mid 30s to 40s in Skyrim at 5760x1200 with my current mods. (And that's with tweaking to get it that high). I could definitely use some extra HP, now that VRAM isn't the limiting factor. (Although I WAS able to hit the ceiling with ultra detail- had to...

So, over the past couple of weeks you guys have given me some great advice- I was looking to move from my 480 SLI setup to a single GPU solution (at least for the time being, anyways). The main game I have been logging hours in has been a heavily modded Skyrim. At 5760x1200, my 1,532mb was GONE...

Early, quick test, just for fun...I ran Kombuster burn in for 20+ minutes tonight just to check max temps/stability. All good- max was 74 (highest I saw in my Skyrim vram tests were in that range- 60-70 tops at 100% GPU utilization). Also- I'd say all but DEAD quiet. I definitely don't know...

It is indeed the Hynix memory. I'll be doing some hardcore benching/testing through the weekend, and I'll report results once I get some solid tests done.

I have a pretty big case, and the only other card in there is an SSD PCI Revo, so I am interested to see what kind of temps I get over the next few days. I am reading up on the mining stuff, now. I know OF it, of course, but not enough to get started. Certainly intrigued.

Whoops, typo. :cool: - 1920 x 1200 resolution (ea.). x 3. As a side, I got my SLI back in action with "hyperSLI". Both GPUs are being utilized just as they should be. (and of course my Surround is back as well.). This gives me some time to game while I prepare for a Titan upgrade. :D

That's good news- sounds like the 480RAD + 1850s may be the ticket. My CPU definitely gets put through it's paces (when rendering out of C4D, all cores are stay at 100%). If i can get it down in the 60s at full load, i'll be a happy camper. :cool:

Just what I needed as well- some rational thinking... :D I JUST finished an upgrade with two GTX480 SCs, and along comes the 580 (3D and Surround build). BUT- I am going to resist the temptation and stay the course for a spell and enjoy my SLI rig.

Interestingly enough, Cryostasis does not yield the same benefit- with the same test parameters, maxed out at 1920, SLI yields 50.0 fps avg, while single with Phsyx card hits 43.2 avg. Gonna' run Batman AA next...

Gotcha- Numbers kinda' hinted at that... Metro 2033 yielded avg 43 fps in SLI with PhysX on, and only 24 with one GTX480 with the other as a PhysX card. (1920 res, all max, including DOF...)

I don't have too many games with PhysX at the moment- I do have Metro 2033... Mabye I'll do some alternate runs with the same type of testing.
