Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I now have a similar setup with the same problem.
So has there yet been a consensus reached on which is the best method? Setting windows/in-game to surround 5.1 and settings console to headphones v. setting everything to headphones
Also is it best to...
I actually ended up picking up a X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro from a friend of mine who was parting his rig. Couldn't resist the good deal.
Anyone have experience with this card? Should get around to installing it this weekend.
Thank you -- I will keep that in mind but it is a bit more then I want to spend
Has anyone had experience with:
HT | OMEGA STRIKER 7.1 Channels 24-bit 96KHz PCI Interface Sound Card (good reviews but would it be good for gaming since it's not X-Fi?)...
Need a new sound card to complement my Audio Technica AD700 headphones. Primary use would be gaming. Would like to pay $100 but if everything at this price point won't really bring out the AD700's potential then don't mind paying more.
Thanks
I had it for a short while.
Great software/drivers but the buttons are what killed it for me.
I found the side buttons tough to press/find and the middle scroll wheel was virtually useless as it required a great deal of force to press down.
I happen to use side buttons and the middle...
I personally don't think it's worth it. The optical 3G sensor in 1st version is still one of the best out there and 1800dpi is still good enough for most resolutions out there.
Well I tried the Ratpadz and did not like it. Too small and and I don't think I'm a fan of very hard surfaces in general as I'm on the lower sensitivity side for gaming and the hard surfaces are too slick for my mouse movement which tends to be aggressive. At the same time, I don't really like...
Maybe I described it wrong -- IMO the buttons require more effort to press down, especially the middle one (almost unusable). Again, this does not fit my particular playing style but it may for others.
EDIT -- Just got the G9 delivered to my office. Been playing around with it and turns out...
G9 users -- I will be receiving this mouse soon and would like your opinion on what mousepad works well with it.
I currently have the Razer Goliathus (1st version they introduced, pre control version days) that I've been pairing with the DeathAdder and do not like the feel of the material...
Don't want to preach to the choir but I could not get into the game either.
The story seemed real interesting but the whole "fake FPS" system was just done very sloppy imo. Could never get comfortable with the controls so I gave up.
So after using the CM Storm Sentinel for a week I decided to return it.
Heres what killed it for me:
Middle button is too low and is very hard to press on the fly in-game
Left and right main buttons just feel slow. I did basic tests in CS:S to see how quickly it took me to zoom with...
Hopefully I'm getting the terminology correct but from some of the threads I've seen on other forums a bunch of folks are saying Win7 comes with some sort of pre-loaded Nvidia drivers that a program like CC Cleaner or Driver Sweeper can't detect and you have to manually remove them from your...
Quick question ---
Since the game is installed via Steam and such, do you still need to keep the physical disc if you bought the retail copy? I.e. if I lose the disc and need to re-install can I do it via steam?
FYI -- I've been using similar settings after another poster's suggestion in this thread , and I must say that at first it was pretty painful to get used to, but after a few hours of playing my aim has gotten a lot more precise in CS:S (not quiet like in my younger days but getting there :)). I...
Everything you mentioned in your post regarding P2P was exactly how I felt about the PS3 version of MW1. I only purchased it for the PS3 since a majority of my friends irl are not PC gamers. I got the PC version of MW2 for $20 due to having some Newegg credits I needed to use so I'm not too...
That's the mouse I have as well. Have you noticed that unlike Razer mice, where the windows pointer speed and driver sensitivity are two separate features, the driver sensitivity in the CM software actually mirrors the windows pointer speed (i.e., if you change one, the other will mirror it...
First time poster here,
I've recently upgraded to a 5600dpi mouse, the new Cooler Master Storm Sentinel.
Now personally, 5600 even at a low sensitivity (at a 1920 x 1080 windows/game resolution) doesn't feel natural to me -- but I'm assuming that's because it's such a drastic change from...
