Unknown,
I want to flash my Sapphire 5850 with your pre-mod BIOS due to the clock problem and flickering on my 2nd screen.
It states it's for "reference cards." Can you tell me whether mine is a reference card or not? I don't want to brick it. Thanks!
This is exactly what I have...
Thanks for the reply. I think I'm going to give up on streaming flash videos. It just has constant lag which I don't think I should have my my specs. Flash and everything else is completely up to date too :(
Hey guys,
I know there are a couple of threads out on this subject but a lot seem to be outdated.
So, what do you guys believe are the optimal video settings to select in CCC? I'm using 11.2 and dont really know what to have enabled (pulldown detection, edge enhanchment, etc.)
Post what...
These drivers also broke SC2 for me (no pylon field, etc.) I'm running 2 5850's in Crossfire with the latest app profiles. Does anyone know of a fix for this or is going back to 10.9 the only solution? Thanks.
I'm having a weird issue. With Crossfire enabled some of my units and mineral patches are invisible. Makes the game tough to play.
Anyone know how to fix this without disabling Crossfire?
Can you elaborate on what this does please? I've been having different problems with flash and don't really understand what the hardware acceleration actually does. Thanks.
I get flickering on my center monitor that uses a DisplayPort adapter whenever I go into 3D mode (i.e. games, etc.)
The fix that I found was to force AA to 8X box (I normally have it forced to 16x box.) Once I do that the flickering goes away.
So, is it just me or did anything actually happen/change with this release?
Sure some things have changed, but it seems like the changes only affect 2-3% of ATI owners.
I guess I'm just disappointed and thought some MAJOR issues would be corrected. Losing my faith a little in ATI....
I had the exact same issue. Got a new DisplayPort adapter and everything worked fine. It seems like the newer adapters have a newer firmware. I RMA'ed the original back to Dell with no issues.
I had the EXACT same issue as you (including Win7 64 bit, Dell Adapter, etc.)
10.3 worked fine and it only happened when moving to 10.4. I tried absolutely EVERYTHING to no avail.
I finally got Dell to replace my adapter with a new one and it instantly worked. I'm 100% convinced the adapter...
Just the regular one from Dell:

I think I might just get another adapter and see if it works. Kinda sucks that they are so expensive. I'm so reluctant to do it though since it...
Nope, still broken. The monitor using the Displayport adapter won't turn on at all. I've tried un-plugging, rebooting, etc. but to no avail. I went back to 10.3b and the problem goes away. All three monitors working fine.
I really have no clue what to do at this point. I thought it might...
Hopefully these will not make my monitor with Displayport adapter go blank. Had this issue only with the 10.4a drivers. 10.3 and older gave me no problems.
Does anyone know where I can find the latest Sapphire 5850 BIOS? The last one posted on Techpowerup was posted on January 26, 2010 but I just wanted to check with you guys to see if anyone had anything newer (or better for that matter).
My card is a reference card fwiw. Thanks for your help.
Same problem here. Monitor w/ Displayport adapter falls asleep and doesn't wake up.
I rolled back to 10.3b and haven't had any issues since then. Specs in sig.
I understand that. That's why i said it makes my 1920x1200 a 1920x1080 resolution when the Eyefinity group is created.
Eyefinity works fine, it's just the bezel correction that I can't get to work.
Still can't get bezel management working with my 3 monitors
I have 2x 24" Dell S2409W @1080 and 1x24" Dell E248WFP @ 1200.
When I create my Eyefinity group it turns the E248WFP to 1920x1080 so all monitors are at the same resolution.
This really sucks. Anyone have any insight?
I get weird artifacts on the lens of my sniper rifle and some other areas when I enter the game.
I'm running 2x 5850's in crossfire. If I change the AA mode (either higher or lower) the problem stops. More annoying than anything else.
Download GPU-Z and it should tell you whether Crossfire is enabled or not. It should also tell you whether both cards are detected:

If Crossfire is disabled, then you might want to check your BIOS settings to make sure all of your PCIe slots are activated...
