Well ain't this a kick in the teeth. I ended up enabling the onboard Intel video card since it has a displayport and install the drivers for it and low and behold my 4K monitor works just fine on it.
Well... at least I know I don't need an RMA but this also means no gaming until i get a...
Thanks but I don't think that is the issue. When I reboot with it plugged in by itself I don't get any bios screen either. So it looks like it isn't doing anything on that display port from the get go. It's very odd. But I will try this as a last resort before an RMA. Thanks.
Hey guys...
This is my first time hooking up and using a 4K monitor and unfortunately it is not going so well. First let me list what I have...
AMD R9 280x
Acer XB280HK
Core I7-4770K
16Gb Ram
Win 7 64bit
Latest AMD driver

I do think this is a bit over kill. The ME series as a whole was pretty solid. Great characters, good story, and each time they wrapped up each ark. Granted, like most things, the original was the best with the best ending. The sequels were good but missed that something or couldn't live up to...
I have thought of one benefit... to consumers... EA couldn't require you to have a perm internet connection to play the games you have paid a fortune for anymore. ;)
Of course the downside... the ones you already bought would be screwed...
No email: would drastically inhibit productivity on a large scale... on the other hand... hmm
Twitter or Facebook: Ok... who really needs these?
No buying online: Won't kill ya, but all those extra taxes may.
No stock trades: yeah... lots of economies do well without a functioning stock...
Thanks for the input. Unfortunately, those are the exact steps I followed when I tried it the first two times. I went to a couple of forums that looked to specialize in WHS and those were the steps they outlined. Well, thanks anyway Trep.
Any input on the other options from others would be...
Based on what I have read in other forums, others don't seem to have these issues either which is what's frustrating me. I have been working with Server 2003 for years and a bit with 2008 which is the base for WHS 2011 so I am no stranger to it.
As far as the "remote backups", that didn't...
What I got...
1. HP ProLiant Ultra Micro Tower MicroServer
2. 4GB RAM
3. 1x160GB HDD (came with server)
4. 3x2TB HDDs (can install another when needed)
5. 1xCopy of Windows Home Server 2011
6. 1xCopy of FreeNAS 8
7. 1xCopy of Win7 64bit and 32bit
8. 1xCopy WinXP SP3 32bit

Thanks man! Got it and now I am folding :D.
btw... I enabled the CPU in the tool but it is still listed as disabled. SMP and GPU are doing their job just fine. Any ideas?
I don't know if it's because I've been up since midnight or if I'm having an artard moment but I seem to be missing something. I went to http://www.hardfolding.com/ to register so I can start folding and also have a chance to win some goodies but when I try to register it asks for a Stats ID...
It's not a DEM or REP thing anymore. One's just as bad as the other. That is one of the main problems with our gov is that there is no real diversity. Also, there are no "regular" DEMs or REPs anymore either. They're either extreme far left or right... whatever the hell that is really supposed...
Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't they pass a law making it perfectly legal to root/jailbreak your phone? So how can it be legal for companies to break your phone for doing something you have the lawful right to do? And charge you for it too?
It would be kinda cool if nVidia were to release a line of 3DFX branded cards. Could be their mainstream line or maybe an exclusive ultra high end line. They paid for it... may as well use it.
Yeah, am on the latest one.
Not very constructive man  and the reviews I read before buying it said it OC'd just as well as any other board out there.
Couldn't find a template that fits closer to my BIOS so I used what I could from the one in the thread...

Currently my QPI is set to 1.295 anything over that is considered "overvolted" by my MB. There are several settings I have been wary of bumping up as they are considered "overvolting" on this MB including the CPU V, QPI V, and RAM V. Once my rig has been running for a while as is I might try and...

Thanks for the article. Helped a lot. Unfortunately I was only able to get me system to 3420Mhz :(. And my memory is only running at 1360Mhz instead of it's 1600Mhz rating :(. I guess I will have to do some more reading tweaking to get...
Thanks. I'll give it a read and try it out.
Hmm... vdroop... maybe my PC needs a little blue pill :p
Also, What is a good tool for creating a BIOS template? Or do I need to take a pic with my camera? Thanks again.
Hello [H] guys and gals. I just got a new i5 setup that I am in the process of OC'n but seem to have run into a snag. I can't seem to get above 3600Mhz stably. Spec...

I would have liked to have seen the original image. There does appear to be something "shopped" out. There is reddish object (maybe another moon) in between the moon in front and Saturn.
Aside from that... I think it is the mother of that creature from...
I very rarely text also. I usually IM. Faster than either text or email. But the fact that anyone charges for texting is absolutely ridiculous. It has never, ever cost the cell companies money to send SMS traffic over their networks. They just don't have their customers in mind. They only care...
Not surprised really. I mean heck, they still charge separately to do texting. Which is stupid because it costs them nothing to move texts across their network. Eventually people will get fed up with all the nickel and dime'n and move to smaller carriers that offer more for less. Honestly...
OK. I set the timings for the ram to 7-8-7-20. Then ditched the "genie" and the GUI and went straight to the BIOS. Am currently at 3.5Ghz (175 cpu clock and 20x mul). Ran P95 for 2+ hours with no issues. Just need to dig around the BIOS to find the other fields I need to take it to 4Ghz. Oh, I...

Edit... needs to be 7-8-7-20 timings... will look in the AM.
Actually, my personal system has a Gigabit board in it and the OC util for that OC'd my CPU without any problems. Been running strong for over a year now.
I will checkout the guides both here on [H] and back on Tom's. I've just read several reviews about how the OC Genie on these MSI boards...
