i reseated it and got the same results. however after loading windows on the machine i ran core temp and its showing core#0 at 42C and core#1 at 40C. is the bios hardware monitor that off? does anyone know a temp monitor i can trust?

i overclocked my 6800gt using rivatuner to 400/1100. when i run a 3dmark2k03 i leave the hardware monitor in rivatuner open. i ran the benchmark and then checked the hardware monitor and my core speed dropped down to 350 shortly after starting the test and then once it was done it went back up...
