    That's good to know thanks.

    Corsair SF600 600w SFX Powersupply

I may have spoken too soon about silence on the SF450... It has coil whine, which while not obnoxiously loud is audible - enhanced by being in a Fractal Node 202 stood vertical placing the psu right at the top of the case with open grills for the sound to come straight out. At first I thought...

    Corsair SF600 600w SFX Powersupply

That's only for the high end cards though? I'd assume something like a 1060 would still be comfortable for a 450W supply, whenever they're released.

    Corsair SF600 600w SFX Powersupply

Cheers. :) That's a relief. This thing is so silent it's amazing. Have yet to push it and see how loud it can get but so far it's great.

    Corsair SF600 600w SFX Powersupply

One question before something happens that I will regret: I'm in the process of building an itx machine with the SF450 - is it me or are the 6+2 pcie and 8 pin cpu power cable slots on the psu interchangeable? The labelling on the psu brackets all three 8 pin outputs and doesn't specify which...

Lian Li PC-Q21 , sweet case

I've been eyeing up this case but I'm not confident in the airflow being ay good. Can you mount a fan on the front inside like the Q11?

    Corsair SF600 600w SFX Powersupply

About time Corsair jumped in on this. I'm more interested in the 450W though.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

My god, I haven't followed this at all - just popped in to see what all the fuss was about. This is incredible design with sensible placement of components, and I love the different install options without compromising by a larger unnecessary volume. Good luck with this.

Silverstone Modular 450W SFX (ST45SF-G) - Now has a product page - NextQ = When?

Or what about a SG05/SG08 hybrid - in other words a case with the dimensions of the SG05 (maybe a little shorter and flatter?) and stick this SFX power supply at the front. I dunno, call it the SG10! ;D

Silverstone Modular 450W SFX (ST45SF-G) - Now has a product page - NextQ = When?

Are we going to see an SG05 update or something, including this power supply?

    Silverstone Sugo SG09

@Tony That's understandable, I'm sure the sg09 although not as clean as sg08 or tj08e, will still look good enough in person. Hopefully if the case sells well maybe we might see an updated version in the future with cleaner aesthetics.

    Silverstone Sugo SG09

FINALLY - that layout. I agree the exterior looks a bit ugly, but finally a major company has decided to put the power supply in that position in a "normal" case (ie, not the FT03). Finally someone gets it. Looks like the perfect matx case for volume/performance.

Upgrade from 260 this weekend or wait a month?

My 260 was silent apart from the fan. :p The only reason I went for the 560 was due to a good used price. Regretting that a bit now as I've either got to get it replaced (more postage), or sell it and let someone else decide whether to replace or not. :(

Upgrade from 260 this weekend or wait a month?

I've just gone from a 260 to a 560ti this week - yes new things might be in a few months, but there's no time like the present. Only issue I have is pretty annoying coil whine on load (gigabyte OC version), and the card isn't as silent as I had expected. Hardly noticeable with the side panel...

Anything similar to the cubitek B210?

In my continuing pursuit of a minimal system I'm very keen on using a case with no 3.5" or 5.25" bays. Reason being I don't have an excessive amount of data, meaning I can comfortably ditch mechanical drives altogether for ssds (and laptop drives), plus it's easy enough to use an external...

    Fractal Design - DEFINE Mini

^I agree with all of that. I did manage to squeeze the cables behind the right side panel, but getting it on was a pain - very tight. And I have a blob of white blu-tac over the front LED, until I feel like opening it up and pulling out the cable for it. It is irritating in the corner of the...

    Lian-Li PC-Q25

Oh yes, that looks amazing! First case I've seen that can hold high performance components, without a 5.25" bay.

New Lian Li PC- Q11 itx case : Specification & Feature

Can anyone suggest a simple blu-ray drive (read blu-ray only, and burn DVD/CDs) that will fit with the stealth bezel? I bought a samsung SH-B123L/BSBP, but found the eject button doesn't line up with the button on the stealth bezel. Do the LG drives work? Like the CH10LS20.AUAU? Looks like the...

New Lian Li PC- Q11 itx case : Specification & Feature

Hmm, thanks for that. Yeah just measured the ocz psu - it is 160mm long. :/ Didn't realise that nexus PSU existed. If I can fit two 70/80mm fans in the top to help with exhaust, then I don't need to worry about the size of the psu fan -> the st45sf is on the table again.

New Lian Li PC- Q11 itx case : Specification & Feature

Has anyone considered squeezing two 80mm fans at roughly a 35 degree angle from the horizontal, behind the 5.25" bay, and above the motherboard, to help exhaust air out the top? Seems like it might be possible, and use zip ties to fasten the fans through the holes in the top and back of the case.

New Lian Li PC- Q11 itx case : Specification & Feature

^Thanks for the help. Revised build is then: i3 2120 with stock heatsink Gigabyte H67N 4GB DDR3 500GB ssamsung F3 (considering the scorpio black is almost double the price, I'm tempted to just go for this 3.5" drive here) blu-ray drive for the top (<£50) Stuff I've already got -...

New Lian Li PC- Q11 itx case : Specification & Feature

Right, sounds like a plan. The last thing is 2100 or 2120 - only £4 difference and 200MHz higher clock. Seems like a no-brainer.

New Lian Li PC- Q11 itx case : Specification & Feature

Hmm, might try that. So no need for SFX psu, or an aftermarket heatsink. Now my confusion is with the cpu. My concern is will the i3 2100 last? Or is it better to shell out ~£50 more now (to the i5 2300 or 2400), to save having to upgrade it in a years time anyway?

New Lian Li PC- Q11 itx case : Specification & Feature

^Which is good because I have a spare ocz modxstream 600W psu lying around - overkill for this machine, but will save money. If I use an atx psu, is it best then to forget the stock heatsink for the cpu and instead use a thermalright axp 140, to avoid airflow conflict problems?

New Lian Li PC- Q11 itx case : Specification & Feature

I need to build a gaming machine for my brother, on a budget, and have decided on this case for several reasons - mainly that it's one of the only ITX cases that hasn't got holes all over it - an important feature as this case will be sitting almost in direct sunlight (south facing room with...

PSU options - lack of variety.

I agree with that. If anything it should be semi modular - everything attached with maybe one or two extra cables woth more molex/sata connectors for those who might shove in a few smaller hard drives or devices which need direct power.

PSU options - lack of variety.

^Yeah I thought so! :D But that's why there's the SG05 vs SG07 for example. [Off topic - I would like to see a remake of the SG01, in the style of the SG07. So pretty much the SG07 just made a little wider and using an SFX psu in the same place, to accommodate a matx board. That would be...

PSU options - lack of variety.

That's good to know; I'm only going by what I've read in this forum and elsewhere about the noise and other things. I like that, but how about a mix, rather than all modular, or all non modular? I would go as far as having most non-modular, and a few additional modular cables. - Non...
