Download the latest intelburn, id prefer intelburn.
Prime doesn't stress so much, try linx/intelburn with 3.5+ Gb RAM (given you have 4gb) on maximum.
I have silverstone FT02 and i have tried both stock and puch&pull setup and I got roughly the same temps but somewhat noisier with...
What cooler do you have?
And to anyone who thinks 20 runs of intelburn/LinX is enough is a fool.
you need at least 80 runs or more. i got errors after 40 runs.

The temps temps are NOT ok considering it's a single gpu.
If you're going to buy 480, you really need to take lifetime warranty, I don't care what nvidia says about it can withstand such a high temp, pure bullshit. 95c is not ok.
this thing really needs WC.
And it even more...
I went from H50 to NH-D14
Man..its like day and night.
I had 85c in linx with H50 (push&pull). With D14 I got 65c! And it even much quieter than H50.
idle temps went from 34 to 28c.
H50 is not bad, but if your into overclocking beyond 3.5 Ghz, H50 is not an option I would recommend.
two weeks after i got the board the thing starts to squeal, and no, it's not the PSU.
it feels like it's coming from the electrolytic capacitors.
the squealing appears linear when the cpu is in idle. when the cpu and the hdd are working the squeal is hacking.
if i somewhat press with my...
looks neat. :-)
one thing i hate about this chase is the back of it. its so damn small and crowdy. you really need to spread out the cables to make the surface even, so the lid doesn't bend when its attached.
if you have time and patience, you can accomplish this.
also the upper lid can...
295w for a single chip...madness!
I really don't need another space heater
4870x2 was a good damn space heater even when it consumed 270w. I have enough with space heater graphic cards.
295w for a single card...no
I have the same cpu speed clock, vcore and vtt and still get 84c as maximum temperature after 20 passes.
I have FT02 chase with two Noctua NF-S12B as push+pull for H50.
I'll probably grab Noctua NH-D14 and end this madness, forcing the fans to spin at their maximum rate didn't...
50c.. are you referring to daily usage or intelburn? Because I don't believe you are getting 50c in intelburn, unless you have some serious air coolers at their maximum speed and really low room temperature.
I see you are running 4ghz
what temp do you get when testing intelburn/linX ?
h50 above 3.5Ghz on my i5 is not that great, reaches 84c maximum on intelburn.
Lol I have the same board as you.
You can disable the annoying vdroops if you turn off the load-line calibrations in bios.
I also have H50 but with two noctua 120mm fans, but I have much higher load temps than you, in intelburn.
But the speed of the fans are at the lowest, hence the high...
Whats up with having to reach 3.6 Ghz, is it sort of a gimmic or what?
3511Mhz here with 1.120vcore
edit: forgot to tell that it is on i5 750 :-) old sig
Whats up with CPU-Z??
In bios, Vcore is set manually to 1.095v
In idle, CPU-Z shows 1.080v.
In load it shows 1.040-1.032v.
What the hell, shouldn't it be reverted?
Mobbo: P55 GD65
CPU: i5 750
Cheers
Thanks.
I think i'll go for 2x S12
My chase is FT02(silverstone) so the airflow is good.
Just go to your local paint store and buy a black spray.
Conceal the blades with paper tape and start spraying.
Is this a good solution?
Noctua NF-P12 for taking out the air from the radiator and Noctua NF-S12B ULN for blowing the air towards the radiator.
Or is it better to have 2x Noctua NF-P12 ?
I just got the board today and installed everything.
It seems that the network doesnt work even when the network drivers is installed and no error code appears in the device management.
any suggestion?
Edit: oh LOL the internet cable was a litle loose from the router socket. problem solved!
Any suggestions?
I have these on my mind:
MSI P55-GD65, P55, Socket-1156, DDR3
Corsair XMS3 DDR3 ( PC3-12800 )1600MHz 4GB CL8
will they work ok together?
what about evga FTW or maximus?
cheers
I was referring to the look of the mac pro not the internal structure. The front looks really clean.
The problem is that you can't remove the sticker from FT02.
The silverstone logo is so turn off, why did they put it there? Is it so hard to make a flawless case like the Mac Pro case?
I would rather have a snowflake figure logo if marketing is a must.
IF I remember correctly, I think I had 32 fps in avg in crysis bench with E8400 running at 3Ghz.
In return, I got 40fps avg at 4Ghz.
the benchmark configuration was 1680x1050, all very high, 32bit(u get higher fps than 64bit) and DX10.
4870x2 did benefit from overclocking E8400. For every 100Mhz OC, I got 1fps more in avg in crysis bench. 3Ghz --> 4.2 Ghz = 12fps more in avg. But beyond 4Ghz, my cpu had to much voltage and even then, its wasnt 100% stable :p
I guess it depens on resulation what fps you'll get. I played 1680x1050 which was a litle overkill by that time when X2 was new. Atleast i could maxout crysis, all very high, max ress : 43 avg fps, with 2xAA 39.50 avg fps ;)
Well I had 4870x2 and it was fine with E8400, which was at 3.0 Ghz. But you'll get like 1fps gain in Crysis for every 100Mhz you overclock the E8400. I OC'd E8400 to 4.3 Ghz, i gaind 13 fps.
