two weeks after i got the board the thing starts to squeal, and no, it's not the PSU.

it feels like it's coming from the electrolytic capacitors.

the squealing appears linear when the cpu is in idle. when the cpu and the hdd are working the squeal is hacking.

if i somewhat press with my finger on any of those electrolytic capacitors near the cpu the squeal goes quiet.

faulty board or what?
any suggestion?

cheers

It's not the capacitors, it's the inductors in the VRM circuitry. If it really bothers you, then the only thing you can do about it is send it in for RMA and hope that you get a board back that doesn't suffer from the same problem.
