I spoke to HP and they have no plans to discontinue this monitor. If fact they stated they had a big shipment going out to vendors shortly. If fact I found a number of vendors had them for a while yesterday but sold out fast. I was luck enough to get one for 1358 before the 100 dollar rebate.

The single 30 will actually be smaller in foot print them my two 17's So I think I'll have less head movement then I do now.

I'm watching a nice Panasonic 50 Plasma right now. Model TH50PZ700U. Got it last August for about 2500. It can be found much cheaper now. Full 1080p I can't say enough good about it.
