man if your going A2 and a sub, IMHO get the A5's bro! trust me you don't even need a sub on these, the bass is incredibly great for these two speakers.

just a little update, i recently purchased some edifier s330d's. they sound good but have somewhat a narrow field of sound. I'm now on the market for a pair of A5's. The only kicker is that stupid "off black" rings around the tweeter and woofer. does it really look that bad in person?

Left channel is not working. this is where the problem is at. software? i'm not running any software, its just straight onboard audio out from my computer i know the interior is not intended to be serviceable, why should the consumer even have to mess with it, but if it ain't workin...

ashmedai- i'm feeding signal and power to both left and right speaker from the right channel output on the sub in a parallel wiring configuration where power/wattage to each speaker is still at 18 watts RMS. in a series wire config, the power/watts would be shared between the two speakers...

just an update as of 9/29/08. i have gone through 2 sets of these edifiers with the same chronic problem of having no volume or sudden dropping of volume from left channel on the edifier sub/amp. maybe this is a fluke and just a production line defect... ... anyone else having badluck here...

-spaceman I originally just ran these edifiers straight off my mobo audio out. Thats as simple as you can get! for some reason either the left audio input or left audio output is where the problem is at. At first sound was coming out fine from the left channel and then it would just cut out...

FYI just an update, had to RMA a set of these S330D. it appears the volume via left analog audio was having problems. My volume would at times be 10% of the right speaker and the audio that did come out was terribly crackley. i swapped left and right speakers to see if it was really the speakers...
