Honestly, I think Alienware is all overpriced and overhyped garbage. Better off with a Sager if you're looking for raw power without the fancy shmancy paintjob and logos. The pentium M's are very decent gamers if you're looking for portability though, the 1.6ghz one averages around a p4 2.4...

the Emachines are nice, but remember that the cpu is soldered in them, meaning no upgrading to Dothan's later on. They're nice for the price, though. Note that I received my IBuyPower notebook a few days ago, and i'm quite happy with it. see here for details. Definitely recommended.

I have the 1900fp which i assume is still the same internals, and the ghosting isnt much of an issue. I play UT2k3 on it all the time and dont even notice it anymore. the only times i see visible ghosting is when a dark (read: black) object moves across a very light colored background quickly...
