Here we go. This is the computer:

Seagate Barracuda 7200.12
AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb
OCZ Obsidian 4GB
Antec True Power 750W
Radeon HD 4890
Damned IDE DVD Drive
As I said, the computer is setup in a RAID 0 array and I am not even...
Ah. I will post what the HDDs are in the morning. I will have to get in touch with him so I know the exact model. I tried installing W7 after I tried to install the RAID drivers. When I loaded the drivers, it said that to continue installation, I would need signed drivers. I got the RAID...
I don't have the computer near as it is at the owner's house. I will look into some of those things but he said that it is now frequently giving the BSOD... Error code of "Driver IRQL not less or equal".
Can anyone give me more suggestions that I can try when I go over there tomorrow?
Hey guys. Last night, I built a new rig for one of my buddies. I have built computers before but have never taken the dive into RAID until now. I had several problems installing Windows 7 (64bit) but after 5 times, finally got it to work. The main problem is that it hangs after 15 - 20...
No beeps upon POST. Already checked CMOS battery.
My first guess was corrupted BIOS but the video problem prohibits me from doing anything. I think that it might be junk..
I'm sorry. Here are the specs:
Mobo: Asus p4p800 Deluxe
RAM: Corsair 512mb 400 (3x)
CPU: P4
Video: ATI Radeon X850XT 256MB
Power: Antec 450W
HDD: Western Digital 60GB IDE
Hey guys. I'm trying to figure out what is wrong with a coworker's computer. Here's the problem once you turn on the power:
Fans in case and graphics card run at 100%
No Video signal
Keyboard lights keep blinking off and on.
I was thinking that it might be a BIOS issue and was just...
Thats the main problem right there. All of the Windows discs I have do not give me that screen. It just bypasses to the screen where I format/reformat partitions.
I tried using Hiren's boot cd. I can't really get it to work right.
Hey everyone. I am a college student majoring in the IT field and am trying to fix a co-worker's computer. It's a Dell Vostro 1000 for those of you who want to know. BSOD comes up with Unmountable_Boot_Volume. I looked it up and found alot of easy fixs, but I have to go into the recovery...
Update: I got the computer running. What I did was I took everything out of the case, dusted and checked everything. Still could not get the mobo out but I re-sited everything and computer finally came on. Its slow as shit so I'm going to do my thing to it. Thank you to everyone who helped...
Just looking at the gawdy thing makes me want to vomit. This is the most cheaply put together computer I have seen. Plus the motherboard is BOLTED onto the case, not screwed on. WTH Dell? But from what I see there are no burn marks or anything. I was thinking, could it be the battery on the...
No Burns or anything. Unfortunately, I don't have a volt meter.
I'm going to try that. Going to take it out of the case and see if anything is shorting the mobo out on the case or something. You never know.
Good thing I havent tried it yet. Thanks.
I am trying to figure out why a friend's computer wont turn on. i have ruled out a bad power supply because the Motherboard is getting power sine the LEDs are on, and power is getting to the power button when I press it. However, when I press the power button, it glows green and nothing...
I just upgraded to a 8800 Ultra and have not noticed this until now but when I am played LotRO or STALKER, much less any other game thats in the dark, I can see something strange on the screen.
Bare with me because I have no idea how to describe this. But whenever I am looking in a dark area...

Just wondering if it was possible to do SLI with my current configuration without upgrading (besides PSU)? I am talking 2 8800 Ultras on a Intel D975DBX Mobo. Any chance it would work? (I have low expectations for it to)
Hey everyone, Just a quick question. I am usually one of the people that tend to reformat whenever I install a new piece of hardware. I ordered an 8800 Ultra and it should be here by tomorrow. I am wondering if it is safe to install it without reformatting, I guess going in this order...
