Hey everyone. I am a college student majoring in the IT field and am trying to fix a co-worker's computer. It's a Dell Vostro 1000 for those of you who want to know. BSOD comes up with Unmountable_Boot_Volume. I looked it up and found alot of easy fixs, but I have to go into the recovery console using a Windows startup disk.
The problem is that every Windows disc I have does not give me the option to "repair" the OS so I can go into recovery console to run chkdsk. I then read that the only way to do it is to have a Windows 2000 disk or a Windows xp recovery file (which is setup over 6 floppies and the computer only have a dvd drive).
Can anyone offer some advice please?
