Some snap versions of programs are just as fast as their apt and flatpak versions. However, many snap version programs are not even close, such as Steam.
The only subscription I have is XBox Game pass Ultimate, that is it. I also live minimalist and in regards to a printer, I have an HP Laser printer that has worked for years and with the original toner cartridge.
$2500 is not a hobby price whatsoever, that is a price for a professional level card that makes you money. The reality is, Nv has decided to take their pro pricing and slap on a gamer nameplate.
I know this much, I was upgrading for almost 30 years straight but, with prices being what they are and performance not all that much better than previous years, I no longer bother, at all. I have a 6800XT and nothing out there would make me enjoy using my computer more at all but, perhaps in...
You are right about the launch, which was a disastrous shame. I loved the Kinect 2 and the multitasking of the original interface but, they screwed the pooch on both instances and let them both die off. Having voice control was great and is what we have on our iPhones, as a regular thing, 10...
Personally, I would prefer things remain as they are. As long as the things I use are secure, easy to use and have been properly vetted, I am content. It is a phone, not a computer, I do very specific things on it during the day and otherwise, as long as I am home not using it, except on the...
Perhaps you are right but, for me, I have an iPhone and that is what I use it for and at least for me, it is not my computer. Now, I am sure Gabe from Steam would definitely want it but, that is because he wants the money. :) In the meantime, I would just as well play the XBox Streaming games...
I like the fact that I can search for what I need, hit download, press the right button twice and I am done. Yes, the EU can sometimes have better consumer protection that the USA but that does not mean I want BS in my daily usage.
And clearly, it already knows how to make insults better than you. :D
Good for you but, Cinebench is actually quite representative of overall performance and although I am sure the X5675's are good, outlasting cpu's you claim to have owned before and after does not really say all that much...
I am "old" at 57 and can make my way around just about any client OS of the last 35 years and many server OSes. I used these that many here would botch and complain about but I loved using new things.
Onan different note, phone OSes are not intuitive in the slightest, other than Windows 10...
I have hardware that will easily support so, whatever. How many folks are running ancient hardware and expecting top performance and support, after all?
*Shrug* It is 2024, it is not important and besides, it is not that difficult to see, the corporate environment will keep Windows 10 for the time being.
Honestly, and of course I would be, I have no subscription beyond Game Pass Ultimate and nothing else. I have no streaming subscriptions whatsoever, only a Identity theft protection plan and that is pretty much it. I have no time to sit around and watch stuff, I would rather spend that money on...
I personally found that since I am only 5ft 7 inches tall, the LG C2 42 inch was just to tall for me, after having used it for 11 months. Seat position did not help and with no curve on the TV, it felt like the top corners were distant. That is why I sold it but, if I had it as just a TV, it...
Edit: I did repurchase the Neo G8 a couple of weeks after returning it, since nothing at that moment seemed to even compare, even the Neo G6 I tried. I am not broke by any means, just wanted to try and budget properly.
Heck, I forgot about this thread. :) So, I have been using the Samsung Neo...
Ok, let me start off by saying I had an LG C2 42 inch for about 11 months but have recently sold it, since it was just to big to use as a PC monitor, at least for me. (5ft 7 inch dude here.) So, I picked up a Samsung Neo G8 about 4 weeks ago and have been more or less enjoying it, since it works...
I was going to try out a G9 to see if I liked it better than the Neo G8 I own. However, I bought an Openbox excellent from Bestbuy, figuring it would be in the original packaging, at least. However, I get there and the only protection it had was a bunch of bubble wrap around it so I said no...
I much prefer Red Dead Redemption 2 because of the immersive story line as well as the interactive day to day sort of mundane life choices. I have never really finished a Bethesda RPG and to be honest, I tried, briefly, Starfield but lost interest pretty quickly. In fact, I think I have played...
I found that for the items that you did not have to pay extra for, Prime Video was quite good. However, much of what I personally wanted to watch required that I paid extra for those videos.
In my opinion, who cares, as long as it performs well for what it is being used for, as Zen 2 was actually quite good, overall. Now, if it is slow or performance is bad, then we have an issue.
