I get static in my mic and my speakers when I'm listening to music playing WoW, and Crysis. This has never happend before but when I booted up today and started playing music it went to static, sometimes theres static sometimes theres not. I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate x64.

What are the advantages if I'm running an Nvidia 8800 series card?

I'm going to run 2 gigs of ram a FULL WCing setup except for the HDDs a high end video card 680i mobo sound card and possibly a physics card...sorry for the info but I've not decided on my exact rig at the moment.

I'm looking for a 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound that has nice sound quality for maybe around $80 all suggestions accepted.

Which card is worth the money? I'm a gamer, I like to watch my videos and I don't like lag AT ALL. The cards are starting to fall in price so I'm making a decision now.

Making my first build soon. Would it be worth it to invest in a good sound card? If so what kind/model? I hear it helps a TON with taking stress off of the mobo.

Is Patriot worth the money? I hear OCZ is VERY good but some of the ram they make sucks. I'm open to all opinions and I'm hoping that I can OC the ram I purchase.
