    Your CPU progression

    486DX2 66MHz - 1992 Pentium 166MHz - 1996 Pentium3 500MHz - 1999 Pentium4 2.0GHz - 2002 C2D E6600 - 2006 i7 920 (just bought today) I was planning on keeping my E6600 for another year, but my PSU went haywire and fried everything in my computer yesterday. Maybe I should have tried an AMD...

Got my Sharp Aquos LC-32GP1U "Gaming" 1080p display today!

I have to completely agree about taking time to adjust this TV properly. This TV does not look very good with it's out-of-the-box settings, but when you properly adjust it, it looks fantastic. Also, don't think that the settings that someone else posts are the best settings for the TV. A friend...

Best LCD TV For Gaming (Xbox 360)? 32"-40"

I use the LC-32GP1U as my computer monitor, as well as for gaming with my Xbox 360. It is great for both tasks, I highly recommend it. I have not noticed any ghosting. Response time is 6ms, which is very fast for a LCD this size. BTW, I got mine from vanns.com for $1189 total price about 2...

What size display do you use?

This probably has been asked before, but I am curious as to what the most common display size on hardforum is. I have a feeling that the 22" area might be the most common? EDIT: nevermind the last 2 options, I thought you could be able to choose 2 options simultaneously, but I guess not...

Help me pick out a gaming monitor...

I have the w2207 monitor, and all I have to say is that it is a fantastic monitor. Once you adjust the settings right, you will not be disappointed. You can probably get it for a bit under $300 nowadays.

Got my Sharp Aquos LC-32GP1U "Gaming" 1080p display today!

Same with me, I only notice the dynamic adjustment if I REALLY, REALLY look for it. Some settings you can fiddle around with can reduce it a lot. If it wasn't pointed out to me, I probably would have never noticed it. I don't really notice it and its effects while using the monitor unless I...

Help me spend my 1.3k wisely

I just got my 32" Sharp LC32GP1U for under $1200 total price (that price includes shipping, taxes, etc). I use it mainly as my computer monitor at 1920x1080 and I love it. I have no banding issues or any dead pixels that some other posters have, so maybe I am lucky? Or maybe it is only the...

Got my Sharp Aquos LC-32GP1U "Gaming" 1080p display today!

I got my 32GP1U shipped to me today, and have it working now. I paid a bit under $1200 in total price (didn't have to pay tax or shipping) from vaans. I am very pleased with it, I have no stuck or dead pixels. They shipped it in a gigantic box, with the tv box inside the big box with tons of air...

    Difference between Sharp 1080p 32" LC32GP1U and LC32D62U?

Difference between Sharp 1080p 32" LC32GP1U and LC32D62U? I am trying to buy a 32" HDTV for around $1000 that does 1080p. I also want to use it as a monitor for PC gaming as well. I see that on this page at newegg that the 32GP1U is $200 more than the other set...

New 226CW - Thanks to this forum

I don't want to sound like I am trolling, but I think consumers need to start thinking about where their money is going. Unless you like supporting the North Korean government (which the South Korean company SAMSUNG is now heavily invested in), don't buy Samsung. Every time you buy a Samsung...

    w2207 :1.4 & 1.6

mine says it has firmware version 1.5. Is there anything wrong with 1.5? I can't get the auto-detect to work when I rotate the monitor. Actually, the whole software package that came with the monitor seems worthless. Great monitor though.
