Difference between Sharp 1080p 32" LC32GP1U and LC32D62U?
I am trying to buy a 32" HDTV for around $1000 that does 1080p. I also want to use it as a monitor for PC gaming as well.

I see that on this page at newegg that the 32GP1U is $200 more than the other set. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...080&name=1080p
The only difference that I can see though is that the more expensive one has a DVI input and an extra HDMI input. I am also confused when it says "HD Component Input 2 (1080p compatible) – 1 side, 1 rear DVI-I Input 1 (1080p compatible)".

Does that mean that if I use a DVI-HDMI connector for the LC32D62U (the cheaper one without a DVI input), it will only work at 720p (1360 X 768), and not at 1080p (1920x1080)?

I will probably use it more for PC usage (gaming, etc), than for use as a console gaming or HDTV platform. I can't get HDTV reception in my area. If it can only support 1360x768, then that sucks =(

Thanks for you help

The Sharp GP (Game Player) line is for gamers in mind with the extra ports and lower latency. Sounds like the LC-32GP1U is right up your alley in what you want considering you'll be using it mostly as a PC monitor.

I'm not too sure about the resolution a DVI -> HDMI for the LC-32D62U would render at.
