All of these 5000 series chips run hot. I thought I would never get mine under "some" control. It would bang 90C under all core boost and has finally settled down into the low 80C on a 240 AIO.
installed my 5800x day before yesterday. when starting the computer it put me into the bios and i had to reset the memory profiles. using a b550 tomahawk. then the real work started namely a rather warm cpu.
last 4 years i think

when the going gets tough, the tough get going or waiting in this case. nothing from evga now going with best buy for a FE 3060ti. I think that's the best bet.
I have a somewhat similar problem. If I do a virus scan on every drive it will restart. But if I leave out that one drive there are no reboots. The drive does have 1 bad sector but runs fine otherwise. What I’m trying to say is can you place the game on a different drive and see what happens
I have a 12C24T. From the chart it seems that 6C12T or 8C16T is the best. But I do more than play games.Yoy should see how well 12C will load a a evga 970 ssc . In dire need of more gpu.
bunch of smokers here! i took mine apart when it died, i thought, and it was paste that had dried out for brick making. cleaned up the gpu and reapplied paste. it is now fully functional and works like i just got it out of the box.
micro center houston texas has,so site says, 25+ in stock for 549.99. regular 799.99-250.00 for in store only i guess as these are not avalible on line
Primocache works very well on my WD NVMe drive. Might keep the program free for 30 days. Have it set for roughly 12gigs of system memory out of 32.
The OP may want to give it a shot.
