You don't need more ram at the resolutions your playing games at..you need speed.
If you monitor's native resolution is above 1950x1200 then you may need the 640MB model.
At your resolutions the GTS 320 is plenty powerful for your needs.
Just be sure to pick a company that has a lifetime warrenty and decent RMA rules like BFG and ASUS...
The computer shop built the machine for me according to my specs and under his warrentee
was responcible for repairs. Went through 3 sets of video cards in 6 months.
He offered to overclock the new BFG 8800GTS OC2 even more so I naturally accepted.
I built my first computer almost 10 years...
I went ahead and made the trade:D !
My two 7900gt's got about 6800 in 3dMark 06 with 2.45 GHz on cpu.
The 8800GTS OC2 got 8150 in 06 with 2.0GHz stock on the Opty 170.
The computer tech is going to further o'clock the 8800 to 650 core and 2250 memory!
With that and the Opty 170...
I appreciate all your replies and I am leaning strongly to making the trade. My computer guy is supposed to be running some 3D Mark 06 tests this afternoon and I'm going to the shop at around 4PM this afternoon (est) and see the results.
Thaks
BFG has a new model out with a 2000 MHz mem speed (effective) on the 320 MB gts card.
I'm buy/trading through the computer shop that built this for me so I can not buy elsewhere.
I'm not putting any extra cash out, just trading.
Got to make a quick decission on what is better for FPS games.
What I have now:

Thinking of replacing the 7900GT's with...
