Hey guys,
I have an HTPC/fileserver combo running Windows Server 2012 R2 and it needs a new sound card. Lots of cards seem to have hit or miss Windows Server driver support so I'm wondering if anyone has a recommendation.
Must haves:
- Optical SPDIF out
- Dolby Digital Live encoding
- Work...
I was hoping this improves watch dogs performance (since it mentions an updated SLI profile) but there seems to be a regression instead... the game now stutters every 1-2 seconds which makes it completely unplayable.
Ugh... rolling back to 337.88.
Titans are priced like this because fully functional GK110 cores can fetch $2000 a pop inside Tesla cards. nV probably wouldn't have released 780Ti/Titans at all if AMD didn't have cards that were faster than 780's.
Doesn't matter now, and when it will matter, 4GB won't be enough either, as the new consoles have 8GB of unified memory to work with. Watch dogs is just the tip of the iceberg, and it's arguably not "next gen" because it's not exclusive to ps4/xbone.
I'm running 2GB 680 SLI at 1600p. They've been great up to now but like everyone else said VRAM is becoming a problem.
You're probably not going to max next gen games period without SLI Titans. Single 780's and 290's won't have enough horsepower, and IMHO 4GB is probably not going to be...
I noticed the same problem after installing new drivers (squeal when mic is active, and background white noise all the time). Rolling back to older drivers fixed both issues for me (2.0.16: http://www.corsair.com/~/media/Corsair/download-files/drivers/audio/CorsairHeadsetSetupRelease2016.zip)
Today I found out just how important a heatsink+fan is for these monitors. I bought a replacement LVM board more than a year ago and attached a HSF to the Altera chip as a preventive measure. No problems the whole time, until...
yesterday when my monitor started artifacting again... opened...
So I went to pick one up at Microcenter tonight and the sales guy said they're having tons of returns on these things and both of their display models stopped working after a few days of being left on.
He also pushed the extended warranty hard so maybe it was a ploy to get me to buy that.
25-30 FPS on GTX 690 at 2560x1600.
Turning Ultra mode off bumps it to 35-40 FPS.
My guess is Ultra defaults to off for all cards except SLI 680's and 690's.
They mentioned specifically that revealing you're in the Tech Test/Beta is OK (i.e. they're not going to go after you), even though the legal language said it's not.
No. What you're describing the the classical supervised learning method to make it recognize a cat, which has been done for decades. The learning in this project was unsupervised and pretty damn remarkable.
We never told it during the training, This is a cat, said Dr. Dean"
Heh, I have relatives that live 1 city block from Xujiahui, I actually bought some stuff at the Pacific electronics mall a while back. The merchants there should mostly be aboveboard.
Have you tried secure erasing the drive and updating to the latest firmware?
Those sequential numbers also look like the drive is running in SATA2 mode.
Your random write IOPs should be between 30 and 40k. 20k is WAY too low even if the drive is running on a SATA2 port.
I would recommend using Samsung SSD magician to test the drive. It will perform a TRIM pass and...
There's 850W versions of both of the PSUs you mentioned (Kingwin Lazer and Seasonic Platinum). Those should be more than enough for SLI 670's. I'd go with Seasonic personally because of the better brand and crazy 7 year warranty.
HP's Sandy Bridge Elitebook can last 32 hours with just the main battery and the bottom battery, no need to lose your optical drive with that crazy 3 battery setup.
Same weird mechanic was in the original MP. You could shoot dodge almost constantly but if you just go into bullet time you use up your bar in like 3 seconds. It was almost like cheating.
I've used Windows 8 (in a VM) for a few months now and Metro is starting to grow on me. All the stuff I use very often are still docked on the taskbar just like 7 and the rest that goes into the metro menu is actually easier to find than going through a giant list of small icons on the start...
Reference 670's are much noisier than reference 680's at idle. That's part of the $100 price difference I guess. If you can get good spacing between the cards definitely get 2 non-reference 670s.
The dude who said 2GB was not enough used a 7970 while the other guy used a 680. It's been shown repeatedly in other games that AMD cards use more memory for the same game at the same settings than nVidia. So 2GB could very well be not enough for AMD cards while being enough for nVidia...
First of all thanks to LEETGION and [H] for sending me this mouse.
Here are my thoughts during unpacking. My points of reference are the various Razer and Logitech gaming mice I've owned (Diamondback, Deathadder, MX518, G400)
Pictures to come...
1. Pro: The mouse came in a very sexy package...
This is old news. And it's not going to happen.

Export auto format options for VS or Eclipse. Share with co-workers. Problem solved.
lol, you must have really anal professors to care about that instead of your code correctness, performance, and design. This happens all the time in the real world when working with legacy code, you just...
680 SLI is just enough to max out 1600p for Crysis 2 and BF3 (i.e. max settings, 60 FPS most of the time with some dips to 50's and 40's), and STILL CANNOT max out metro 2033 (you will get 30 fps a lot). When people say they've "maxed out" at 1600p with a single card they're talking about...
How many SATA power connectors do you have? I know Dell doesn't do molex connectors but if you have 2 unused SATA connectors you can buy some adapters that turn them into a single 6 pin PCIe power connector.
Selection is very limited without ANY power connectors, you're looking at 1 notch...
According the [H] reviews 550Ti SLI is roughly equivalent to a single 560Ti, and a 560Ti is enough to get between 30-60 FPS in BF3 Ultra settings at 1920x1200.
With that said SLI cards suffer from issues like microstutter and poor performance on new releases, so I would definitely go...
1. GK110 probably won't reach the same clock speeds as GK104.
2. If the yields for full functioning GK104's are this bad, there's no way they're going to have enough "perfect" GK110's, and if they do, those will be reserved for the HPC market where they can be sold at $3-4k a piece. More...
Could work, you just have to bleach out the reservoir once in a while to prevent any bacterial contamination.
What I'm concerned with is how the fans would deal with the continuous elevated humidity. Would seem they would rust pretty quickly, or maybe short out from condensation.
I don't know if the numbers add up, but if Best Buy matched Amazon prices and charged an $80 membership fee like Amazon prime, I'd probably shop there rather than Amazon.
Also stop getting trolled by cheapo.
So.. who wants to loop Furmark on their 680 for a month to test this?
Edit: not too worried about this... I'm not keeping the cards for 3 years and if anything happens, there's warranty.
