I can't decide between the immersive 30" 2560x1600 60Hz and the fluid 27" 1920x1080 120Hz monitor for my new super gaming computer, so I will let the [H] decide and pick whichever one wins the poll!
Good luck to both contestants!
Hello Skully, as an owner of both a ZR30w and a S27A750D, which would you recommend for gaming? Do you see yourself only using the S750 for gaming from now on because of the 120Hz? How do the colors of the two compare? Is there a noticeable difference in picture quality between the two? I am...
I'm in the market for a new monitor, but I can't decide what I should get. I will mostly be gaming on this monitor, as well as web browsing. I play all kinds of games, mostly BF3 right now, and some Starcraft 2 and Skyrim.
Budget really isn't a concern, but I have narrowed things down to either...
Have to strongly disagree with you on that samuelmorris... Asus is rock solid. Very good company IMO. That said, the OP should go with whatever brand is the cheapest considering they're all reference models anyway. At the moment I believe both Sapphire and HIS have them for $260 after rebate.
Hey guys well today is the big day, I'll be ordering my HP ZR30W monitor and I need to decide what video cards to compliment it with. I will be going with either 6950cf or 6970CF, but im wondering if the 6970s are worth the extra $ at this resolution. Will I notice the difference between the two...
I have an unrelated question oh Lord Vega, you're the one with the crazy ZR30W eyefinity setup, correct? How do you like that monitor for gaming? I'm in the market for a (single;)) 30" for gaming and I hear the zR30w is one of the best...
Pretty much everything, mostly FPS and RPG but I also have been playing a lot of Civ V. The GTX 580 sounds great but at 500 a pop they are a bit expensive and I'm also worried about power consumption/heat. I think I'm going with a pair of XFX or Asus HD 6970's along with a new XFX black edition...
It's funny you mention that, I just saw the $1074 A matter of Fax price as well and I'm wondering the same thing. It seems they have a good seller rating, but I'm not sure. Newegg has it for $1145 as well, which is cheaper than Amazon.
Anyone have any experience with A Matter of Fax?
Yah that would be real bad ass, but I'd have to get a new mobo and psu on top of the 1500 for 3 580s... and they don't even have 2gb of VRAM! Although if I was a billionaire I'd definitely hook that up:)
I have heard about the shader unlock, however I'm a bit leery about doing it. Is it completely safe? will it void warranties? I don't want to drop 600 on cards that die in 6 months... That would make me a very sad panda!
Great, thanks for the help guys. I have the ZR30w in my basket, the only thing now is video cards. Should I get CF 6950, CF 6970, or SLI 570? The 6950s are the cheapest, but will I get a smooth 60fps with high settings in most games at 1600p? Thanks!
Does anybody know what the best 30", 1600p monitor is for FPS gaming? I'd like something with as little input lag as possible. Thanks for helping me out if anyone knows!
What linear Deck Legend should I get? The ice, fire, or toxic? I want the best color fir gaming and I can't decide, so the winner of this poll is what I'll buy! Thanks.
I currently run a i7 3.8 with 2 5850s in crossfire, I am wondering if it would be worth it to sell the 5850s and get one 6970? Will I see an increase in performance? Thanks.
The rest of the rig seems to run great. i7 at 3.8 on a megahalems in push pull, 2x 5850 xfired, manually overclocked and the gpu fans will go to 100 percent no problem. And this CPU fan problem only happens when the ambient room temperature is very high. It is very hot and humid and my central...
I have a Seasonic m12 700w PSU. I have noticed that once in a while during long gaming sessions, I will bsod and notice my CPU fan slows down drastically. When I look at SpeedFan, my cpu RPM's are in the high 600's, which seems ridiculously low. I also notice that the +12V is at 11.30V. Does...
I went from a 16:10 24" monitor to a 16:9 32" HDTV for PC gaming. I like the TV much more. Yes, dropping resolution sucks but the 32" TV sitting 2 feet from my face makes gaming much more fun and immersive. It does help that I have a high end rig which enables me to turn on AA in most games...
System seems stable at 3.8 and 1.16 vcore, but once I go for 4.0 I get crashes. I have hyperthreading on. Would I have an easier time getting to 4.0+ on my megahalems if I disable HT? ALL I do with this system is game. Mostly FPS. Is there any benefit to hyperthreading in my situation or should...
That keyboard looks cool but they sure are expensive. Are they worth the cost? I was thinking about getting a G19. Are these Decks better even though they dont have macro keys and a LCD?
