I haven't used Ubuntu Desktop much but VLC & Chrome will work, you won't need any virus checker software and I think Ubuntu already has a good CD/DVD writer built in.
I've also heard lots of people suggest http://www.linuxmint.com/ to windows users.
This is the guide i used but you need to create a new user account for it t work.

Do you want it to be like H:\Users\%username% ?
I have done something like this on my computer where it is D:\Users\%username%, D:\ being my storage partition on the same drive as C:\
With Google Apps standard you can host upto 50 accounts for free. I've set it up for a client of mine and I also use it with a couple of my own domains.
I'm having some problems with my RAID array on my pc.

I got 2 WD 500gb green drive's for Christmas, i installed them into my computer in RAID 1 config, then installed windows 7 on a 64gb partition and the other 400gb as storage.

I used this guide to get dd-wrt on mine from Redboot
http://www.fonerahacks.com/index.php/Tutorials-and-Guides/Updated-DD-WRT-v24-Final-Flash-Guide.html
There was a thread on here not too long ago. Where someone done a similar thing but raid 1, then they had a problem expanding the partitions from the smaller size to new drive's size.
So I would say go with backing up the array first, like others have said.
I'm new to this visualization stuff and thinking of giving VMware ESXi a go on my home server but not sure if it will run well.

Yeah, I always use a css Reset in my code. It resets the browsers default styling. Then i've put the styles for the site under. Where its says /****** Styles ******/
Yeah, that's how i would do it.
Although you should use <li>'s rather than just <div />'s though like in my example.
<ul id="nav">
<li id="btn_home"><a href="#">Home</a></li>
<li id="btn_article"><a href="#">Articles</a></li>
</ul>
The numbers are usually even so 770px is a bad width, 760px or 780px is better
*780*px for 800x600
960px for 1024x768
1080px for 1280x1024/800
???px for 1366x768 *Not sure yet, but i would say 1260px*
Jumping from a 800px site to 1270px site is a big jump, 780px was the de-facto standard for sites being viewed on 800px wide screens then 1024px screens came along and this standard changed to 960px wide site designs. Now 1280px screens are pretty much everywhere now 1080px site designs will...
How about all the people running 1024x768 screens?
Recent stats from my site
Window Width
99% > 584
99% > 744
98% > 968
85% > 1096
34% > 1344
30% > 1384
17% > 1544
15% > 1624
Notice the sudden drop from 85% to 34%
Just Sayin.
You also have a stray </div> line 64
Just wondering, Why do you have that #main 1270px wide? The widest you should currently have a site at is 1080px or have a fluid layout. Once you put content on there will be horizontal scroll-bars for people with 1280px screens.
Also this is a better way to set your margin.
