We run several of the heavy duty Turtle cases at work for LTO tape storage / transport and they are awesome seem to be on par or better then pelican. You might want to check our their 3.5 drive cases just be warned quality usually comes with a higher price.
You guys that are running 4x 3.5" drives are your drives staying cool? I am thinking about loading up my T20 but noticed there is no front mounted fan just the single rear.
When you copy your .wim file to your Sources directory you need to rename the file to boot.wim
Even the MS TechNet page missed this step. Here is a better guide with screenshots.
Always had good luck with Antec PSU's. Still rocking a couple NEO he units 24/7 they just wont die. Good build quality and substantial heft to it passing the old "If its heavy you know its got good components inside test".
Wouldn't hurt to have a spare on the shelf ;)
Glad i saw this thread maybe our legacy apps will work in this mode and can finally upgrade from IE9. Hopefully the new IE11 STIGs won't force it to be so locked down that Enterprise Mode doesn't function. DOD secure networks are such a pain to keep functional and still maintain compliance.
Im not at work to check but i don't think there is an option to convert your disk group to a pool. When i set mine up there was just to many limitations to using a Disk Pool so i went with Disk Group.
-Cant export/import disk pools
-Cant change raid level locked in to RAID 6
-Cant change...
You can only create a Thin virtual disk from an existing disk pool. Have you already created a disk pool?
Here's a link to Dell's documentation on your MD3600
I would check the clients registry and make sure your WSUS server is actually set
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate
Also you can delete the computer from WSUS and see if it generates a new object the first time you hit "check for updates".
Make sure...
Things to check on SRVRDC08:
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Time\Config\AnnounceFlags
This value should be set to 5 to mark SRVRDC08 as a reliable time server
Also worth checking
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Time\Config\MaxPosPhaseCorrection
This is the max amount...
To check where your two 2k3 DC's are pointing try net time /querysntp
Can use w32tm /query /status to check the Source value on 2008 systems
Also make sure your PDC has a NTP server set at the following registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Time\Parameters
Pulled from a working system awhile ago and don't need.
