I am dissapointed, that a mixed configuration like
20" - 30" - 20" does not work.
I cannot imagine to sell this perfect combination for 3x24".
Maybe i have to wait another year...
I am very pleased with the macbook air.
I use it for reading, writing, photo-viewing and internet.
It is my first mac after 20 years with PCs.
I needed 3 days to get used to it, but now everything works perfect.
I bought an access point to get wireless connection to my router.
The air is...
Yes, the side screens are fired from a 8600GT and the 30" Main Screen uses a 8800GT.
The two cards use the same video driver, so there are no problems.
With 2 20" screens in pivot mode next to the 30" you get 4960x1600.
That will be ok.
I just ordered the Dell 2007FP to accompany my 3007FP.
Now i have to get one more 20" and i can put the existing 17" as a fourth screen on top of the 30".
I will post some pictures when it's ready...
I prefer gaming at 2560x1600 at medium settings. This looks much better than lower resolutions at maxed settings.
Gaming below 2560x1600 does not make sense for me anymore.
It looks much better to run a game in 2560x1600 at medium settings than 1280x800 at high. Your System can do that even with crysis. No need to upgrade.
The easiest way is to install Vista after installation of XP.
Then you will be asked if you want dual boot.
XP installation after Vista installation will not work properly.
I installed Vista on a second harddisk without any problems. Everytime i boot the computer, i can decide which system...
Dual 30" is not optimal.
Better get the Dell 3007 as main display in the middle and two 1600x1200 Displays in pivot mode right and left to it.
So you have 4960x1600.
This will be better and cheaper the same time.
They can talk about the Addon, but its far too early to talk about Guild Wars2.
This is a project that has just started. Everyone knows that it can last several years until it is finished.
This is a computer screen. So for me there is no need for another input.
I am glad with the 30" until something with bigger resolution enters the market. :)
Why take 1920x1200 if you can get 2560x1600?
The 8800gtx is able to drive the high resolution even in actual games, so i cannot find any reason to go below.
When you own a good digital camera you need the 30" to properly display the pictures.
Enjoyed WOW a long time. I bought the addon and stopped playing 2 weeks later. Burning Crusade is well made, but it could not bring back the fascination of the early days.
I am now happy with Vanguard.
I was looking forward to Armed Assault a long time. But after a few frustrating sessions with lots of bugs still in the game, it ended in my shelf. Never touched it since then. :(
After WOW i have tried Guild Wars, Lord of the Rings online (beta), Everquest 2 and Vanguard.
I hate the bugs but i will stay with Vanguard.
It seems to be beta, but for me it is simply the best. It gives me the greatest seamless world with lots of choices what to do next.
You do need...
If you can stand the bugs, try Vanguard.
It`s huge and has everything. Now the programmers only have to do one more year of bugfixing. Last night they delivered a new content update with new NPC Char Models. And they delivered new bugs with it. Today i got a bugfix for the bugfix. Maybe...
Very nice setup. These are the pictures that makes me liking this thread. Especially the fourth screen on top is very well placed.
How did you fix it?
When Matrox is able to support DVI and a mix of widescreen and normal screens i will definately go for such a thing. But I think i have to wait a...
It is a shame, that Microsoft is not able to deliver the DX10 Version at Vista Launch Day.
Unless i see that thing running really fast and impressive, i stay with FS 2004.
Unless the first pure DX10 games are out, Vista is completely useless for gaming.
You loose speed
No hardware surround sound
You need more memory
Compatibility problems with some games
Driver problems
Why do people punish themselves with this waste?
There is no Dell that suits. You need the same dot pitch.
17" is too small, 19" too big.
But if this does not bother you i would go for the 17". It fits a little bit better.
My Dell 2405 got small when the 3007 hit the market. I gave it to my wife for her WOW sessions.
Now i am used to 2560x1600. Even in gaming i do not go below this resolution.
