Looking for a video card with the lowest power draw in order to have a display for my Xeon E3-1270. No gaming or anything, just need a display port (DVI) and work with Windows 10. What are the lowest power options out there? (Preferably cheap)
I am running a dedicated server for Farming Simulator 19 which does not require a GPU to run. I have the system up and running with the i3-2100 on a Gigabyte GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3-rev 1.0 motherboard running Windows 10. I have upgraded the BIOS to version F10 to support the E3-1270 according to the...
Verizon FIOS has been solid for me and I like the upload speeds over cable. My gigabit is a bit slower tonight lol, have a few streams up between youtube and MNF, but shouldn't hurt too much.
I have been going back and forth between the TN and IPS version. I just game so the quickness of the TN appeals to me but then I worry if I should just pay more and get the IPS which is $649 new on newegg. Viewing angle doesn't matter since I sit right in front of my monitor. But, the IPS panel...
Yeah, I have heard about the IPS lottery. Is that for only for 27'' or are 24'' in the same AUO lottery?
I sit within two feet of my monitor so maybe 24'' is better for me due to that distance. I don't mind going with 24'' but I don't want to sacrifice 1440p or 144hz. 4k would be nice but I...
Looking for a new monitor to replace a 24'' Acer 60hz ~$100 monitor I currently use.
I play CSGO and a few other games, so primarily gaming purpose.
I have been looking for a 27''/144hz/1440p/IPS monitor.
Should I stick with 27'' or just stay at 24'' with 1440p due to pixel density and I read...
Good thing I double checked my order. I was ordering the wrong block. The one previously linked was for the Founders Edition according to EKWB configurator. I got this one after checking the configurator...
I couldn't find any deals on the 1070, but may be blind as well. I jumped on the 1080 card from newegg. $429.99 - 8% cash back on ebay - 5% ebates = $375, so not bad in my books. I wouldn't get a 1080 for full price over a 1070 though.
What waterblock are people getting for their regular 1080's?
I currently have a EKWB for my R9 280 so I figured I would go with the below block.

Well reason I mentioned a 1080 was due to the sale at newegg ebay for $429.99. I figured that is decent for a 1080. 1080ti is just too much for me in terms of price for a card. I don't want to spend over $500 for card really. I agree with the memory suggestion.
I currently have a i5-4690k and a R8 280 3GB card. I don't overclock and have a custom waterloop.
I am thinking of ditching my waterloop in the future and going back to air.
Anyways, I was thinking of doing a new build with Coffee Lake around the corner and going i7. As well bumping my memory...
I am getting the new gigabit internet service only, no tv. Any recommendations? I am returning the G1100 I currently have and I am not renting one from Verizon.
I don't plan on expanding. I do plan to use one of the SATA ports for my SSD. DVD drive will be used temporarily to install my OS. I could not get my USB stick to boot.
I was told on another forum that the failed drive LED won't work since I have a consumer motherboard. So I may just be...
Looking at getting these:
Hot-swap bay

New case
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119233
Case is decent since I can remove the HD tray and allow more space. (Getting access to the SATA ports SUCK with them...
I am rebuilding my old media server that was running Open Indiana. I am only going to have 4 2TB drives in this machine. I am looking for a case that already has hot swappable drive bays or buying a case and 5.25 to 3.5 hot swappable bay trays. Prefer not to spend a ton of money if at all...
Don't really have to have a server board, but nice suggestion. Would be ideal to reuse my Micro-ATX board. But, I have a feeling if I get a new case I may have to get a Mini-ITX board.
Yeah I mentioned I would need a Server PSU and a new motherboard. I did some searching, maybe I could get one of those HDD hotswap trays for my existing case.
I am tossing around the idea of rebuilding my media server. Right now it is just a old PC tower with (4) 2TB drives (with a old 200GB HDD for OS). Running OpenIndiana +nappit. Nothing special, but would like the idea of being able to swap out hard drives if one failed without having to open the...
Anyone know of a place I can buy some 6'' 3pin fan extensions? A few fans on the front of my radiator will not reach the fan headers on my motherboard.
I saw one on newegg but looking for one black in color if possible. I saw some 8'' extensions on performance-pcs that I was looking at as well.
There is a $30 off $125 deal going on TigerDirect.com, using MasterPass at checkout. That and using the $10 off $100 "rebate" from coupons.com (card linked offers). I got the Crucial MX100 512GB SSD for $177.21 shipped. I think shipping was $4.22. I got the confirmation from coupons.com and...
If you want a ROG motherboard, maybe the ASUS Maximus VII Hero? Not as pricey as the formula. I chose the Hero based on the 8 phases, intel nic, 6 fan connections for my radiator fans. I didn't like the yellow and blue colored motherboard options. lt is supposed to arrive tomorrow, hopefully I...
I am in the same boat but am probably going with the ASUS Maximus VII Hero. I am holding off in case I can find a deal on one. I have bounced between like 5 different motherboards. It is hard to decide. :(
I have a feeling VISA pulled this promo. Staples had $50 off with it as well and it expired early. Sucks because I was about to make a decent purchase. :( Waiting for a good deal on the ASUS Maximus VII Hero board and some other parts. :D
Most of my fittings are part of the 90 degree bends. I have 4 regular fittings. I have 4 20'' tubes in that order. I was under the impression the fluid I chose has an additive in it.
Looking to build a custom water loop and my friend who has experience plans to assist. Was just wondering what parts I should be looking at for my build and any suggestions. Mainly looking to water cool my CPU and GPU unless there is anything else worth cooling? I heard RAM was overkill.
Budget...
