free bump. Fun stuff. I first installed a pair of Clark Synthesis tactile transducers in one of my sofas 7-8 years ago. I added the cheaper Dayton bass shakers to each of my home theater chairs a few years ago. Using butt kickers is a great way to add to the home theater experience.
Those...
sorry, I meant to suggest either an interior or exterior stain & finish combination (not paint).
It's really a matter of preference if you like the look of wood grains, or if you're using cheap wood, then you can just paint it.
Examples of water-based stain & sealer combination products...
sure, it will just collect dust & oils like a mofo, and unfinished wood makes you look cheap & lazy. If the shelving doesn't share airspace with the kitchen where you're cooking, you'll probably be okay from oils sticking to the wood.
What room are these shelves being built? if it's the...
I spent some time on GoW on my PS4 Pro before getting a PS5. My thoughts:
PS5 is definitely smoother. I'm only using them on a 1080p 60hz projector, but the PS5 is so much smoother that it makes a big difference.
PS5 isn't that hard to buy. Once I joined a discord and started trying to buy...
Update:
I ordered another butcher block (Hevea rubberwood), but a little bit wider for $162. I think that's a pretty good price compared to Home Depot options around $244-260 for my area.
The new one I ordered is at Lowe's and is 6ft x 30" deep and 1.25" thick (perfect for a desk)...
I just sold a Geforce 770 for $120 on FB. This shortage is crazy. Last summer I figured the card was worth maybe $40-50.
That model was released in 2013! 8 years ago, no warranty. The shortage is dire & people are desperate.
That old 770 is probably only good for Minecraft & basic games.
It was a great game, I only spent about ~150 hrs, but I haven't the time to go back. I've got too many other games I'd like to play, plus spring & summer are nearly here, so many hours of yardwork are looming.

I know many folks have been using NiceHash for a few years, but reading that Reddit thread and some of the links about the founder of NiceHash doesn't give me...
Is Genshin Impact fun to play even if I were to avoid the whole Gacha pay system?
Can I prevent my kids from spending real money on the game if I install it on their computer? (i.e., doesn't force you to input CC info?)
Dang that would be great! I would prefer 29.5" depth.
I wish Ikea would ship them to my zip code. It simply states unavailable. They don't have stock of them in Renton, WA nor Portland, OR.
Ditto. Just buy ETH. I spent $12k on BTC asics, and about $9k on gpus & mining equip back in 2013. Then I spent another
~$4-$5k on electricity over the course of a year.
I would have gotten FAR more coins if I'd just spent that money directly buying coins.
ASIC deliveries get delayed ALL...
It would probably take about 5 minutes to whip out your cell phone and record a 2 minute video that automatically uploads itself to Google Photos. Even if you didn't have gmail, it would be incredibly easy to setup an account and upload to Photos or youtube.
I don't fault EVGA for asking for a...

6ft long, 25 in. deep, 1.5 in. thick.
'Hevea' is part of the latin name for rubberwood.
I think this is a pretty good deal. Normally around $180 from...
Well poo. Thanks for the heads up. It's too bad there's not an ideal storage solution still. Why didn't the NVME internal slot work at launch? Seems like a half-baked product when there's issues with external drives too.
Guess I'll have to return the X8.
I kept the PS5 order, and just received it yesterday. I am 100% happy that I did now that I have seen the performance improvement in PS4 games (even on my old 1080p 60hz Benq projector).
Ghost runs significantly smoother and it definitely looks better, even my wife noticed a difference.
Coupled...
I knew there was something wrong!
I have two computers that occasionally drop and re-establish connectivity to USB devices. I hear the chime like I'm plugging something in, even when I'm not at my computer!
I finished FC5 a couple of weeks ago. Didn't collect everything, but got a fair bit. The fishing is really tough for me and I don't see the appeal.
I really enjoyed the graphics, they were amazing.
The gameplay was also quite good, but the entire cult vibe rubbed me the wrong way. I guess...
Was there foam inside the EVGA black box that holds the GPU? From my experience, there is typically 1.5-2" of foam around the perimeter of the GPU, and less than 1/4" separating the front/back from the manufacturer packaging.
But yes, I agree the lack of padding is pretty risky.
Not true.

My brother got a Sapphire Nitro+ 6800 and default settings it ran 54 Mh/sec. According to many on Reddit, the 6800 is capable of 64MH/s. However, he was not able to lower the power by 50%...
I saw news of one of the memory swaps recently and decided to purchase alternate brands because of it.
For 1TB nvme, the SK Hynix Gold P31 is a much better buy.
Ugh. Is it really worth keeping the order I put in for the WAY overpriced MSI 3070 3X for $815 after tax?
It can mine about $6-7/day looks like. so maybe? Or I sell my used Zotac for $800 on FB and keep the MSI?
Or just cancel the BB order because MSI?
kids comp is running a 7 yr old...
well, I got 'lucky' to pay $250 over MSRP for the MSI Ventus 3X OC ($750+tax).
Guess I'm going to start ETH mining to help pay for it.
so overpriced. EVGA XC3 ultra is only $630. Wish I could have snagged any of the FE cards. Those things seem to be unicorns.
I tried to buy a PS5 for the first time today and succeeded on the first Walmart drop. It was 200x easier to get a ps5 than a new GPU.
TL/DR: Is it worth keeping my ps5 order just to play ps4 games at 1080p? Or should I cancel the order because the sooner I get a ps5, the sooner the 1 year...
Falcodrin on Twitch just talked about that. Said amazon stock last night was all a lie. Only 5 actual cards were stocked. Very unlikely anyone here got them unless they had a script running to insta-buy.
I'm well aware of the news of tariffs. It's been in the news for years. Blame the tariffs all you want. They want us you to believe the price increase is due to tariffs. The reality is, the tariff was signed into law back in 2018 and every GPU manufacturer knew the extensions to the...
Yeah, must be all tabloid crap.
The "how" is because they didn't sell GPUs on cards to miners. They sold the ampere chips to ASIC manufacturers. Thus, no ampere cards on ebay before launch. nVidia didn't provide a card design to the ASIC manufacturers. They kept that to themselves and gave...
... meanwhile, MSI, PNY and Zotac raised MSRPs on Newegg over the weekend, and the GPUs are still sold out.
I hypothesize that only the ultra-wealthy would be able to purchase high-end video cards and production would be MUCH smaller if we had a fixed income system. We'd have to save our...
