while i dont have one i sold this board with a X3 710 where i work and i am pleased to see what he has done so far. I think last time he came he was at ~3.4Ghz with his HT up to 263 on stock voltage.
SPCR also has an interesting review of this board showing reduced power consumption over an...
Techpowerup post commented on how this gpu die size is larger and if true I am not sure what could be causing it if it is simply a small refresh. Who knows right now, but we will all figure it out in a few short weeks anyways. I am looking more forward to the 40nm 4750 anyways that may also...
this is really too vague to know what is going on. I know you said stock speeds but what about NB speed, HT speed, is your memory OC to 1066 or you just running a memory divider to get to 1066? Also, stock muli for CPU? A little more information might help, thanks.
thought i would post on some information i got from DFI emailing them. They will releasing a "powerful" mATX solution in april for AM3 with the first retail model for AM3 being DK 790FXB-M3H5. Three will be displayed next month during CeBit.
YAY! :D guess i know when i will be getting my...
The OP did not mention 790GX as a requirement. If you look around there are more than a dozen 780G boards that are mATX. However, I like others posted previously, am also waiting for a mATX board that has the cooling capabilities to run the new Pll's to pair with my Qmicra case. the onboard...
....interesting.
I know not all chips overclock the same. But just so anyone who reads the ensuing pages knows, there are others who have already done well with their X4 940's compared to the review here. No I wont disclaim the review since that is the best there chip could do but SoF at XS...
Ram sold, have not heard from interested party for CPU so back up for sale and dropped vid $5 bucks which, i think, is already a good deal when you consider what it is coming with. :D
such confidence for this "odd" board from JetWay that is AM3 ddr2 only.....here
Hey, could be very wrong that i am reading it wrong but maybe you should look at that before you maintain your belief.
:D
**Edit** I will be the first to point out the oddity in this boards specs and think...
is that 60C under load or under normal use? If it is the latter then you definitely need a better heatsink or you need to reseat it. Too bad you did not need a s939 proc in about a month as i am going to be getting rid of my opt170 ([email protected]) for about $50-75 bucks :D good luck to you and...
you should push that 170 higher than 2.5 :D Mine is running at 2.85 stock voltage (Orthos 9hr stable) so yours HAS to have a little more juice than that. I, for one, may consider upgrading before AM3 fully matures if the 940's are coming in for the first of the year. I mean seriously, DDR2 8GB...
I think this is being too presumptuous on the matter. AMD was ahead of original plans for Shanghai and there is no reason, currently, to believe Deneb will be a paper launch on Jan8. Either one of us could be wrong of course but that does not matter since this is all speculation whichever side...
after running the evaluation for the 4850 xcrossfire, do you guys think 4850 1gb in crossfire would have been better competition in these newer games? the the 1gb crossfire setup would be under 400 so i dont know how that would place it with the rest of the comp but seems a little more viable...
well for the sake of competition and the jobs that would be lost i hope they dont go completely under. I work at a Firedog bench, although i plan on leaving in a few weeks, and i can say for traffic has seemed to slow down at our store quiet a bit.
after reviewing the slide, I wonder if all DDR3 platforms are going to be pushed off until late next year. If this is the case then upgrading when the 45nm Phenoms come this year may not be a bad idea with DDR2 still in use on the AMD side for over a year to come.
the tough thing is every board and chip is different and I can only give you what has worked for me. eclipse on here has a great, and long, overclock process that you can follow and get some great advice on getting exactly what you need. the drive strength has diffferent effects on different...
start lower with the FSB at possibly 250. Also, you may need to bump your NB voltage to 1.3 and no at first you can slack your memory timings a bit and work on tightening them up as you go. you have to keep in mind that at almost 300 FSB your memory is pushing 250-260 (DDR500). 2.5-3-3-9 might...
set memory driver strength to 30 or 45% under memory settings. also, this chipset does not necessarily need a lot of voltage to get it going. my main rig is running the NB at 1.2V HT at 1.4v while runing the FSB at 290 using 3x for HTT link and 166 mem divider.
I really think, like what many have said here already, it really depends on your resolution you are gaming at. the anandtech was interesting but was only showing at the highest possible resolution. the performance gains would diminish at 1900x1200 and most certainly at 1600. not saying it is...
anyone here know how to make this into a bootable dvd? it does not let me upgrade my 32bit OS to ult 64bit but i know some have successfully taken the three files and made it a bootable dvd so any help in this area would be appreciated.
