I see what you are saying and I can see many that don't have a netbook or ereader already maybe making a choice to check out the iPad. I think Apple is banking on that segment. I had a chance to play with one for a minute and it's cool.
However, the there are many out there that LOVE the fact...
This article says $425 for the ZR24w.

New Displays
"When you couple the Z 200 with one of HP’s new 22” or 24” burnished aluminum-trimmed color displays you’ve got a real hotrod...
I can't make up my mind when great cards from the last gen are still priced the same as the new gen. I really want an HD5770. But this HD4890 seems to be a very nice card. I guess I would be satisfied with either one given the outdated rig I currently have. Hummm??
WOW, did you steal my card? :p I have the exact same card with the Zalman cooler and the blue RAM sinks. Back in the day I went from a 9800Pro to the X800XL and it was a very nice upgrade at the time.
AGP HD5770? What a joke...what would be the point?
Myself, I am not an avid gamer and built a rig years ago that I still have. It has an Athlon 64 3400+ with a ATI AIW X800XT powered by a Seasonic 430. This system will do about most of what I need to do for everyday and will play older games...
Wow, this is a very nice combo for someone like myself that still has an old rig (S754) and has been using the wife's dual core laptop for the last year. Been thinking about building something new but not sure what route to take...for $189 this would head me in the right direction. However, the...
Well,
I think some of MrWizard6600 claims are a bit off but these are still nice phones. I mean...different models as well as different brands have different sonics. If you get feedback from people that are really into phones...many of their comments about different models and brands are...
Also another deck with built-in HD, froogle the Panasonic CQ-CB8901U. This is a nice deck if you plan to add amps. Has 5V preouts with low 60 Ohms impedance...great for signal delivery and noise rejection to your amps.
Hey I need help. I dropped in a 3400+ in hopes of giving my 754 rig one last big push (and OC :D ) before I move on to the next best thing but I am having issues. If you care to respond with ideas I have an ongoing thread here:

OK, this is getting frustrating! I tried one stick at a time with different timing and both sticks are showing errors.
I wonder if this board supports the Venice? The system crashed when I first installed it then later upgraded the BIOS and was able to get it to boot. Maybe I need to put the...
Looks like I am still having memory issues...Mem Test fails, and rebooted during games.
I really don't think my memory is bad as this system ran fine with the 3000+ cpu installed. There is something that I am missing with the settings or timings...can't figure it out???
Anyone have any ideas?
Well, I picked one of the new Venice core S754 3400+ chips:

This replaced my 3000+ in a Chaintech VNF3-250 with two PC3200 512MB sticks of Crucial Ballistix RAM. I get reboots when WIN XP loads. Next, I set all memory settings to...
OK, I dropped this chip into my Chaintech VNF3-250 wich has two sticks of 512MB PC3200 Crucial Ballistix RAM. I get reboots when Win XP loads. I started playing around with the memory settings and set everything to auto. Now it boots but only sees 512MB of RAM and the system runs slow. Next, I...
I just bit on this deal. I don't plan to upgrade to the newer platforms until next year so this will be a nice increase over my 3000+. Also, this system will become my HTPC using my AIW800XT once I build a new game system.
Now, I will use the 3000+ and the mATX Gigabyte board to build my sister...
