Wow. You spent so long modding that thing you should have picked something a bit more original. Team Xtender has that exact same mod ready-to-order:

The curvy X, red LED, knight black paint, and everything!
Well, you'll probably only be using your dual-monitor setup for desktop stuff, so I don't think you'll see much of a hit at all. Most things will run pretty much the same as before.
Though, for games, if you somehow get it to play on 2 monitors, that would be double the resolution so I could...
I came here to post for this VERY reason. How strange!
I am watching a movie on my 2005 and I can see the taskbar at the bottom (faintly) the whole time. I think..oh weird, but that should be temporary.. I turn off the monitor, and go to bed. The next day I turn on the monitor, and start...

As someone else said, it's a bit strange that it's a lot cheaper for Canadians. Price error?
The 2405 can definitely do at least 720p without downscaling -- at least the ones here in Canada. You don't need any funky testing to prove that -- the image quality from a 720p signal speaks for itself.
I ordered the 2405 case from wankel and got it delivered to my parents since my packages usually go suspiciously missing at my apt. I checked the tracking and it was delivered a couple days ago, and they never told me. And now I won't see them for another 2 days. I'm dying to try it out :D
The 2405 is 1920x1200, so I imagine it would be much higher (and will take more than an average video card to run). I forget what those Apple 30"'s need. SLI or something?
WHAT ?!? December 21st?
Wankel, wherever you are, call up Dell and ask if they an official carrying case to carry this bad boy :D
Oh god.. *slurp* I can't wait.
a couple of people asked for this:
difference between video modes.
480p:
or here for full screen
720p:
or here for full screen
1080i:
or here for full screen
720p and 1080i are pretty similar since in 1080i the xbox360 actually just scales frmo 720p to 1080i...
It doesn't look like it's upscaled from 480p... not even a chance. For 720p.. it's *possible*. But IMO it looks like its actually 1080i. And yes in info it does show the resolution as 1080i.
Here's a really close up shot from Kameo:
Here I zoomed in so you can see every pixel. If it...
Sorry.. it's component, not composite. But I thought my 2405 handled component like crap since I have component cables for my Xbox, and I hooked it up once, and I had all these lines going through the screen and stuff. But... I guess I just needed some good cables!
And I turned 1:1 scaling...
Ok I don't have a VGA cable yet... but does it look good with regular component cables? YES! It looks great! I don't know why regular xbox looks so terribly fuzzy with lines through it ... maybe I had a cheap cable or something.

And a few more here.
Im happy...
crap. that looks great on component. the reason i say "crap" is because my 2405 treats component signals like poop. its all blurry and has lines through it and everything. i thought all 2405's had this problem, but i guess it is just me..
I only used the scaling from the monitor options (hardware scaling, i guess it would be called).
AFAIK, you can only do 1:1 hardware scaling when you use VGA (in the screenshot you can see the settings in the middle of the screen). Doesn't seem to let me change the scaling option for DVI...
And in VGA mode on the 2405 you do 1:1 scaling so you don't get any of that crappy stretching. 1920x1080 is 1080i isn't it? You'll have a little black bar on the top and bottom, but it shouldn't look too shabby :)
EDIT: I just tried a VGA signal at 1920x1080 with 1:1 scaling. Assuming the...
Make sure a window is resizable (not maximized), and then drag it over to the other monitor (usually on the right of your screen, unless you changed it). When it's over there, you can maximize it.
When this first came, I was so overwhelmed by the size. A lot of people said it, but pictures do not do this thing justice.
My only compaint is that I have poor lighting in my room and during night I get freaking blinded by this thing (even lowest brightness is too bright). During the day it...
I have a question if no one minds ...
I have a really old LCD that has absolutely terrible viewing angles. For example, if you rotate the monitor up/down it gets substantially darker / lighter, meaning if you move your head a bit you see this change as well. Rotating left and right seems to...
I havn't seen the picture, but did you clean it with water and then didn't wipe it dry? It could be just the water (hopefully on the surface) that just dried weird. Try washing it again and then dry it with something clean.
