If it was PS5, then it would probably sell pretty fast, but the Series X sold poorly when it was reasonably priced and the only console in stock during corona. Doubt that will change now. My impression is that Xbox is a dying platform and has been for a while. The latest changes and focus on rushing out the big series from studios that haven't delivered a great game in a long time, doesn't increase people's confidence in the platform.
 
Doubt anyone is going to buy a Serise X unless it is really cheap. I should try and sell mine. I also still have my origonal launch PS5 I need to sell but the controller need to be replaced since it got stick drift.
 
Just getting launch price money for it would be enough for me. I had an amazing deal when I bought it from trading in my One X. (Peak mining craze so getting a series X was easier than finding a GPU.)
 
AN XBOX ELITE SERIES 3 CONTROLLER PROTOTYPE HAS LEAKED INTO THE WILD


UPDATE: The Xbox Elite Series Controller 3 has leaked once again this time with a physical prototype being purchased by somebody off OfferUp as detailed in a now deleted Reddit post.

A new feature that wasn’t detailed earlier is a tiny little display that sits on the top of the controller for pairing, allowing you to connect directly to Xbox services. Everything else about the controller perfectly matches everything else that was in the prior leaks including the new scroll wheels that sit at the bottom of the controller, the new case, the new back paddles and the new d-pad design in addition to the hair trigger. It also looks as though the battery will be repairable at home as well, which is an exciting advancement.

Xbox announces disc-to-digital feature that digitizes your physical games

Xbox has finally announced its long-rumored plans for a disc-to-digital initiative...the program will allow owners of its physical games to redeem a digital copy whose ownership can be exchanged between different people should you ever want to sell the game

“Most Xbox One and Xbox Series X disc-based games support this new feature,” explains Jason Ronald, VP of next generation at Xbox...“Players can claim a digital entitlement by inserting a supported disc into an Xbox One or Xbox Series X console and launching the game”...this digital entitlement is tied to the specific disc, and it will move from account to account if you swap the physical game with a friend or log in to a different Xbox profile and try to play a disc-based game

Microsoft will start testing this new Xbox disc-to-digital feature with Xbox Insider testers on August 31st, followed by a broader rollout to Xbox One and Xbox Series X consoles in the coming months...

I wonder if MS is still weighing up whether it's worth it to do discs for one more gen to steal back marketshare from Sony. Or if it's going to be full steam ahead digital and they're doing this to soften the blow when they announce they're also going digital only.

Last great halo was reach IMO so it could really use better management of the IP. The newer ones were OK, but Halo Infinite lost it's way when it started chasing open world trends.

Halo used to be fairly large and open levels, but still a guided experience. Infinite fully lost that by throwing in lots of pointless objectives, generic fighting arenas with very little meaning etc. just lots of moving around the map.
 
merging Obsidian and Bethesda is a weird decision...sounds like they're going to collaborate on the next Fallout

Considering none of the content these studios have been purring out have been worth playing, much yet purchasing, it doesn't really matter what they do at this point. Call of Halo could be a straight port of Atari's E.T. and the same people would buy it while the rest just ignored it like they do with all the others.
