Klipsch Promedia 5.1's - Amp repair

Hi, Yes, since 2020 I have been only using Noctua 92mm fans. They have a 150,000 hour mean time to failure (mttf) rating, which is 17 years of 24/7 use. The fans I originally used 20 years ago were ball bearing, but those are so noisy (audible outside the enclosure) that I eventually went to fans like Silenx, Gelid and Arctic Cooling with a sealed "dynamic bearing" which is like a bushing. Those are quieter than ball bearings, but only last a few to several years. I have not yet had a Noctua fan wear out, and their warranty is six years.
Hello again! ! So it turns out my 5.1 Ultra set has been going great since the @stpeteshepherd's repair kit, but as you saw before I THOUGHT the fan was making a bit of a noise occasionally. It happened again yesterday so I frustratingly tapped my foot on the top of the sub to see if it would go away (bad idea). After a few taps, I heard what sounded like the fan falling and hitting something followed by the sub making a bad electrical noise, then the lights flicker, and I no longer have audio. The amp still works, and headphones work fine.

I briefly took the amp out and looked around, but didn't immediately see the issue. The BASH chips look fine, however. I did notice a burnt electrical smell. I'm now wondering if that sound was even the fan to begin with, since it is firmly in place since I last installed it per @stpeteshepherd's instructions.

Any ideas where to look first? I plan on removing the power supply board to get a better look at the components.

I used to covet the Klipsch Promedia 5.1's big time but missed the boat and ended up getting the Z-5500s.

They died quiet a long time ago and I found the Klipsch Quintet V. I purchased a set expecting 5.0 but when I picked them up a Klipsch sub was included and I paired the set with a second hand Yamaha RX-V361. Today I swapped it out for my Yamaha RX-A2040 and can say that a decent AVR makes a huge difference, especially after running room correction.

Unfortunately the latest Quintet's are garbage compared to the 5, they switched to some thin crappy plastic cabinets and they just aren't the same. The Quintet V's have some serious heft.
