Most aesthetically appealing Video Cards of All Time?

Most interesting thing about that article is how they used Ali as the pro and Frazier as the con.
 
Here’s a pic of the gpu that started it all for me.
Had to 1 up my buddies with voodoo2s.
This was back when MaximumPC first came out on grocery store magazine shelves.
I haven’t hung out on that aisle in years.

Yup, my first GPU purchase as well. Got the Voodoo3 specifically for its Glide support - a little game called Starsiege: Tribes played best using Glide.

I always thought the silver colored Triplex cards were very unique looking back in the early 2000s, always wanted one but they were expensive then and about unobtainable now. The pictured card is a Geforce 4 Ti4600 with 128MB, and it came in it's own metal briefcase!!!

That's exactly the game my buddy got for his p2 400 Micron prebuilt. They got dsl at his office, luckily it was a bail bonds office. We gamed there all night when we didn't have to stop bc he's have to write a bond in the middle of the night to get someone out of jail.

Voodoo3 was in MaximumPC that month, I ran down to the store and bought one for my dual p2 233 rig. It was hard to get dsl or cable back then, just rolling out. Total revelation.
 
Reaaaally liked the way STRIX Pascal cards looked. Kind of low-key but not at the same time. And I'm a simple man. My brain sees something remotely close to a Batmobile and I smile. Never realised in the 2 years I've had mine it had LED lighting.

Also loved the kind of Hot Rod look to the 6800 Ultras. There's also something special about that era.

I’m probably super biased because I was so happy when I got the card but that X850XT looked damn good to me.

Ahh from the table in the Nvidia room at Fontainebleau CES this week. They had a lot of nice cards... that MSI Lightning is cray cray with the dual 12v connectors. I was on Bitwit's live stream all day yesterday (Paulshardware was on it too) and they finished up there at Nvidia. They showed off all the toys and features.

I kind of actually like this Aorus card here... the curves are nice. It's unique! Sort of looks like a vehicle from Minority Report lol.

and it was a lot of power packed into a 2slot form factor. Pretty loud though. I also liked this SLI on one card by Asus dual 6800GT

I like the sliver alum shroud and the nice VRM sink there above it on the end... Blue LED fan... I never owned one but always wanted to.

My pleasure. I prefer my rig to be discrete and not "loud" with unicorn vomit, so I looked long and hard at how to possibly dim or turn the LEDs off and even considered unplugging the LEDs from the board somehow early on in my search. But happened to notice OpenRGB detect my 5080 FE and while some of the options are unusable on the FE, such as changing the colors of the LEDs as the LEDs themselves are white only, the dimming works and using black or setting the brightness to 0%
 
Recent GPU I had for a stop-gap for a little bit.. this fits the definition of "aesthetically appealing"..
NO RGB, no ROG LED strips.. no MSI Gaming X dragons.. just pure Radeon beauty! :woot:
