To replace the love of my life 1080Ti FTW, going to be a really sad day :(

Anyhow as you can tell by my card I dont get out much and follow the hardware like I used to.

If I get a 4070 Ti Super, since EVGA is no longer an option what are the good brands to buy as far as quality. Or what brands Should I stay away from?

Sure wanted a 4080 super but no way am I going to pay what they are going for now. I would have paid msrp but I couldn't find a single card for that price/

There really isn't a "poor" Nvidia brand. I'd just wait a couple of weeks for 4080 super stock to normalize though. It should be back to msrp in no time. Don't settle. :)

Even at msrp the 4080 super may be a poor value at his resolution.

But if that’s what he really wants sure the wait is fine. It’s so hard to predict stock tho especially lately.

Look at the 7900 XT. :) Crazy raster value these days.

I have all three SUPER cards and the 4070 SUPER is no slouch for a lower cost. Would still be a huge jump for you. I found the 4070 Ti SUPER has a very close feel to the RTX 4080 SUPER in the same machine. Of course, the 4080 S is MOAR but don't feel like you've shortchanged yourself with the Ti S.

Thanks, I didnt know if some board partners were worse then others in quality or warranty.

I don't see them come back down in price that fast. I think nvidia shorted the stock on purpose to let the aib's sell their 4080's, and greed

Sorry I should have mentioned I was only in the 4080 range if it was the msrp they said it would be. My firm budget is 800 - 1k before tax. So I was thinking the 4070 ti super looked nice but then nvidia said you will get a 4080 super at 999. Cheapest I could find the day after the launch was 1300. Some price cut :)

Thank you sir for the input. With the New 999 cards coming in at 1300+ the 4080 isn't an option any more. My budget stops around 1K. Leaning towards the 4070 ti S, keep looking at the 7900xt. Even though I am an AMD fan I have had the worst luck with their cards.

Thank you sk3tch and the others for the input.
Ended up with a 2070 ti super Asus TUF OC.

Seems to be a pretty big upgrade over the faithful 1080ti

Where are you located? It didn't 'normalize' in my neck of the woods - location: Canuckland aka Commie Land and a number of other descriptions. :-/
Actually, even with the loon at 73 cents US, the conversion (when you do it) - it's pretty close with pricing between gpus.

I'm looking for a 4080 used - I could probably get a 4070 Ti or *maybe* 4070 Ti Super (used) if some seller decides they don't want it or couldn't return it in time but I really prefer a 4080. The problem is that sellers seem to think that the shortage of 4080 Supers mean you can scalp 4080s now. :-/
I even got desperate and was looking at 7900 XTX cards. :-/
