"Alex Battaglia and John Linneman join forces to discuss their personal selections for the best gaming visuals of 2019, spanning both the console and PC spaces. Whether you're looking for the best graphics or simply some phenomenal gameplay experiences, all of these titles are strongly recommended!"

First it was 10 minute countdowns which was more annoying than a simple written list, but I could at least skip trough it to gleam the actual contenders, but now we are at 40 minutes. Hell no, I'm not going to watch a 40 minute video to find out their choices.

So please someone who had 40 minutes to waste, would you kindly tell me what were the games?

Must be you couldn’t be bothered to skip ahead on the video.

Death Stranding was #1, you owe me a beer for skipping ahead and telling you that instead of doing it yourself :p.

In a 40 minute video it becomes more hassle than it is worth to jump at the right spots where the names are revealed. FYI I wasn't just interested in what is no 1.

Now I'm definitely not watching the video, in death stranding human characters look like they are made of rubber. And the environment is bland as hell, how is that the best looking game of the year?

Digital Foundry videos clearly aren't for you then. They don't just make simple lists or simple countdowns. They go into detail on everything, so the viewer can actually understand their choices.

Indeed, I look forward to almost all of their videos and enjoy watching them in their entirety because of the detail they get into. I was actually already watching this video as I came to this thread, hah.

I don’t have the time but I’m guessing that outside of Death Stranding, Gears of War 5 was also mentioned, along with Metro Exodus, DMC5/RE2.

I'd like to know this to. I don't think it looks horrible, but the characters and environments aren't top notch. Then again I never played the game myself.

Personally, I'd give it to Metro Exodus.

#3: They both had Q2 RTX
#2: Control, and Gears 5
#1: Metro Exodus, and Death Stranding.

"I don't want to watch their videos, I just want to complain about everything in them" *shakes fist at clouds*

If you see it as entertainment that's fine, however I seek information, and communicating information is far more effective in writing than in video. A picture might contain a thousand words, but a thousand words takes less time to read than 40 minutes and you can scan read a written article, you cannot scan watch a 40 minute video because you don't know where the information is hidden in it.

That's rich coming from someone who is complaining about someone else not liking what he likes.

Hopefully I am not annoying when I am old.

Why wait?

A bland environment is one thing, but do you know what they can do with rubber dolls these days? ;)
