Google is getting into banking with the search giant set to offer checking accounts next year

So basically.. link said checking account with Google pay and you get xyz for signing up... And Google gets to do analytics on your income and spending habits. Winning.

De-monetize your checking account for having copyrighted background music in a YouTube video, they still wouldn't be as bad as PayPal.

I joked about this years ago but I didn't think this would really ever happen. Google and Amazon are literally taking over the world. :sneaky:

You damn well know that Google already has all that info.

If they can give me free checking then I'll sign up. I don't really care about so-called privacy, anyone that wants my info already has it one way or another.

Not taking the bait.... Not taking the bait....
How about a $5 Google Music & Books voucher* as our way of saying thanks for being the best part of Google Banking?

* Voucher code will be delivered after $500 minimum deposit and 90 days of active service

Google trying to out Apple... I mean with most phone users just paying with a tap pass from their phones anyways they are already working as a middle man why not cut out the overhead and take MC/Visa out of the picture.
At this rate how long till the major CC providers start selling their own brand of phones?

No--think this: You post too many emoji in a comment to a Youtube stream and they disable your entire account[1]. Now you don't have your email, your phone, or your money. Knowing them, they won't be any better than PayPal, who can take up to six months to give you your money back if they close your account on you.

[1] this literally just happeneed a week or two ago.

I'll sign up if it's a good deal. I've already surrendered everything else to Google anyway. I have 6 Google homes in my house (it's not that big a house), Android phones, use Gmail, etc
