The game has multiple autosave points and quicksave points, and none of them are viable? I find that very hard to believe.Man I'm so pissed! I hit massive bug that is preventing me for playing the damn game. I'm in an area where the only way out is to use the fast travel system but the damn thing is grayed out so basically I'm permanently stuck until Ubisoft fixes this shit!
The quest is called "A Family's Legacy" and I'm basically in a cave. After viewing some story cut scenes I'm told to fast travel out but the option is grayed out. My bar is not red or yellow since I'm not in combat or enemy territory. I'm also not the only one having this problem. The ACO forums show that many people are hitting this bug.you cant fast travel when you are in a red or yellow bar area. what is the place called? you probably missed an exit.

I'm going to check that when I get home. I only have 1 manual save though.Do you not have any older saves?
Yes, I checked every nook and cranny in that area. There's nothing left to do.one thing, did you interact with all the objects there?

I create a manual save every 30-60 mins at the latest. Has saved my ass many times. So I found a save that was a few levels back but at least I can play again. I love this game but the bugs are bullshit. Anyway thanks to everyone for their suggestions.
I never had an issue where the multiple autosave points the game makes wouldn't be enough. I only make manual saves at the end of my sessions. Or when I know I'm going to do something I might regret.I create a manual save every 30-60 mins at the latest. Has saved my ass many times.
Wow that sucks! I lost about 6 hours and I was pissed, I can't imagine losing 17...I had to roll back to an old save and lost 17 hours of gameplay.....I waited until the 1.0.6 update to do it. I'm happy to say that I am able to continue the main quests and have been enjoying the game. Seems like they fixed many of the broken quests. I'm still super pissed about it and it left a sour taste in my mouth to lose all that game time....
I'm 79 hours in and my main progression is only 58%. I also have about half a dozen islands that I've yet to visit. The game is massive!I'm like over 70 hours deep and still haven't cleared all the islands. Actually, i haven't even been to every area yet.
I might tick over 100 by the time I finish it.
I was not quite expecting this game to be so vast.
It's in the same window as when you exit the game. It's the top option. How do you create a manual save? I googled it but so far I have not seen what it detailed. Just no manual save option that I can find.

It's in the main menu (ESC). But instead of being greyed out it doesn't show up if you're in conflict or inside a restricted area, or during swimming, climbing. How do you create a manual save? I googled it but so far I have not seen what it detailed. Just no manual save option that I can find.
Oh well, game is just ok. I won't be too hurt if I get a bug. You would think I would be more into it being a history buff. It doesn't get me going for some reason.
Yeah, it's probably one of the best "sidequests" in a game. It starts as a minor errand you're not even sure if you want to take or not.The Minotaur line of quests are hilarious and well done. There are some really well done side quests in this game.
