Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

Yeah, I was using it and decided to ditch it. Most of the other stuff seems to be multiplicative. I did not really notice anything different with it and being elevated.

Looks like transmog is coming.

Man I'm so pissed! I hit massive bug that is preventing me for playing the damn game. I'm in an area where the only way out is to use the fast travel system but the damn thing is grayed out so basically I'm permanently stuck until Ubisoft fixes this shit!

you cant fast travel when you are in a red or yellow bar area. what is the place called? you probably missed an exit.

The game has multiple autosave points and quicksave points, and none of them are viable? I find that very hard to believe.

I've had a bug where after killing who needed killing instead of getting the quest completed message, somehow the quest marker was transported 10k away into the middle of the sea and it was still telling me to kill the guy. But after reloading the latest autosave it was fixed even without having to do the quest again.

The quest is called "A Family's Legacy" and I'm basically in a cave. After viewing some story cut scenes I'm told to fast travel out but the option is grayed out. My bar is not red or yellow since I'm not in combat or enemy territory. I'm also not the only one having this problem. The ACO forums show that many people are hitting this bug.

one thing, did you interact with all the objects there?

So you scorn pythagoras for holding on to the staff for 150 years, then you hold on to it for 2500 years?

Do I get this right?

Yes, I checked every nook and cranny in that area. There's nothing left to do.

meaning that
you went and plugged in the disks into the columns for all the mythical creature boss fights you have had, example, minotaur, medusa, cyclops, etc

My daily orc quest points to a camp about 50m underground in the middle of nowhere. I see about 10 guards, no caves nearby, nothing.
I've spent about 30mins looking for the cave entrance. Fuck this game 100% sometimes.

So I found a save that was a few levels back but at least I can play again. I love this game but the bugs are bullshit. Anyway thanks to everyone for their suggestions.

I create a manual save every 30-60 mins at the latest. Has saved my ass many times. :)
I never had an issue where the multiple autosave points the game makes wouldn't be enough. I only make manual saves at the end of my sessions. Or when I know I'm going to do something I might regret.

So there are 4 in the game, each in possession of an artifact for the gates of atlantis. I've finished the game, but the statistics show I only defeated 3 creatures. I suspect this is because I didn't fight the sphynx since I figured out the riddles and it died without a fight, but still I defeated it, so I think this is a bug, right?

I had to roll back to an old save and lost 17 hours of gameplay.....I waited until the 1.0.6 update to do it. I'm happy to say that I am able to continue the main quests and have been enjoying the game. Seems like they fixed many of the broken quests. I'm still super pissed about it and it left a sour taste in my mouth to lose all that game time....

Wow that sucks! I lost about 6 hours and I was pissed, I can't imagine losing 17... :(

BTW have you guys noticed that your character puts their hand out and touches the wheat in the field just like Maximus in the Movie Gladiator.

I love touches like that. Great movie... great game (minus the bugs).

I'm like over 70 hours deep and still haven't cleared all the islands. Actually, i haven't even been to every area yet.

I might tick over 100 by the time I finish it.

I was not quite expecting this game to be so vast.

I just did the new leonidas quest the game kept nagging me about. It's terrible. Compared to all the sidequests already in the game it ranks in the bottom 5%.

In other news I've started a new game as Alexios on nightmare, trying to do all sidequests and locations this time. Maybe by this time next year I finish. Alexios's voice acting is so much worse, it's almost pathetic. Otherwise it is literally 100% the same. Even the romance options.

How do you create a manual save? I googled it but so far I have not seen what it detailed. Just no manual save option that I can find.

I'm 79 hours in and my main progression is only 58%. I also have about half a dozen islands that I've yet to visit. The game is massive!

It's in the same window as when you exit the game. It's the top option.

Oh well, game is just ok. I won't be too hurt if I get a bug. You would think I would be more into it being a history buff. It doesn't get me going for some reason.

It's in the main menu (ESC). But instead of being greyed out it doesn't show up if you're in conflict or inside a restricted area, or during swimming, climbing.

That's weird, the game is incredible. I was pissed that I had to roll back because of bugged saves but in reality I still enjoyed doing quests over again. I really love the immersive world and can't believe how many side quests there are to do. Worth every penny.

The Minotaur line of quests are hilarious and well done. There are some really well done side quests in this game.

Yeah, it's probably one of the best "sidequests" in a game. It starts as a minor errand you're not even sure if you want to take or not.

I don't even get it why many of the reviewers are saying that the sidequests are many but meh. There are some meh sidequests sure, but that's a minor fraction. The narrative can turn typical fetch quests into something great. Which just goes to show, that we need more narrative driven games, not this pvp and pve garbage like anthem is going to be.

Mooo! Mooo! It was a Mooooving experience for me. I wasn't cowed by it at all! :p

extra ability points are useless IMO. I have a dozen I have not bothered assigning. main issue being horrible control toggle scheme, which only gets you extra abilities on the melee side. but maybe they are more important for harder difficulties.

Why do I have a bad feeling that visual customization will be a paid endeavor?

Now that the game has been out for a while, are opinions still very positive? Still still a GOTY candidate or has it faltered at all?

I'd still consider it a GOTY candidate, though it does have its flaws. I had a great time with it though. I was a little bothered because I didn't realize it was over when I finished it, lol!

If RDR2 was on PC that would likely be my GOTY. That being said, this is an outstanding game and my personal favorite of the year. I'm only half way through the main story and have 50 hours logged play time at this point.

This game is just stunning with HDR, and personally i'd say this is easily the best looking game out right now when you consider the scale of it.
