15% off Far Cry 5 + Pre-Purchase Benefits

tempted, but I bought farcry 4 at launch and never finished it, internal debates lol

Very tempting, I'm still playing through Far Cry 4. I also need to buy Primal to try out.

I haven't played any of them since the first one. I think I'm too far behind the story line at this point?

I've heard this title is controversial, but I don't understand why.

Hasn't the entire serious basically been oddball killing of everything?

I've been waiting on FC5 to be launched. I usually wait until there's a sale before I bite on a new game. Last games I bought at launch was DOOM (2016) & Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus.

I'm the same way, and still on the fence about this one, but playing FC4 recently may push me over.

I think this one hits a little closer to home for us Americans, and America is now the land of the offended.

I personally look forward to shooting digital representatives of my southern neighbours.

If they made a FC Canada I'd be in too, but really it would just be a bunch of lumberjacks, environmentalists, and the occasional poligamist.

If they make this a DLC and make Jean Claude Van Damme the end boss, I will buy it.

It's down to 10% off so I'm going to pass even if none of them are related and I don't need to play the old ones first :p

Sadly its down to 10% now for the standard discount, but they are running a recruit-a-friend promotion that grants a full 20% discount on ANY version of FarCry 5 - the largest one I've seen at any legit site, especially one that grants a North American activated Uplay or Steam key - if you follow a RAF link (not sure if you need a new email / GMG account to get the discount code itself, or if that's just to "count" for the referrer being entered in a contest) Maybe Kyle can edit his original post to offer his link so everyone can have access to the discount?

Anyone interested can PM me if they want mine, but if there's an "official" one for [H] use that instead.

New users to Greenmangaming can also still get 20% off with the code "NEW20".

Keep in mind that Greenmangaming doesn't always have pre-order keys on time. Sometimes they get them to you in time, but in the past I've had to wait anywhere from a half hour to two full days.

I have a Backlog from 1994 so I think I'll pass on this game I haven't finished any of the Far Cry games.

They no longer sell keys for uplay, you have to link your uplay account to the greenmangaming account, and the game will be added to your account without a key.

Good, save your money. FC1 might be harder to play through these days due to its aging graphics and unforgiving difficulty. I loved FC2 once it hooked me, but many hate it due to a couple of annoying design choices. I would say start with either of those two and if you're put off by them then just go for FC3. It's modern, open world, not too difficult, and blends action and stealth with a decent story. Great game, and much cheaper than FC5.

Yeah a lot of the non-grey-market sites with UPlay keys are doing that now. In a way its a good thing, provided its always in a secure manner, I think.

Watching a early twitch stream of this game it looks great totally different than any Far Cry it's American and
Un-AMerican then you have people from Russian playing it on Twitch.

Word, I made a new GMG account, may yolo and get the Gold Edition.

It looks like a pretty boilerplate Ubisoft open world title. Unlock areas, little doodads, and kinda keep that train rolling with storybits on a drip feed.

I expect zero surprises, which is both good and bad. There's some appeal in games like this where you can jump in once in a while, do something and then log out and do something else.
