grab the remastered 25th anniversary edI need to watch the anime again...
exactly why I didn't link a bunch of them. but there is a lot of overlap with the footage shown, theyre trying to not reveal too much. the behind the scenes stuff is really cool, like the shelling sequence with the 1400+ piece full size skeleton! Not going to watch all those clips. It is like they're spoiling all of the good scenes worth seeing via many clips and trailers.

yea from looking at the trailers, i do see how they referenced alot of scenes from the original. I just feel that there is a large number of asian female actresses that could have easily played the role. Nothing against Scarlett.
I'm wondering what the hell did I just watch.
The second I saw Scarlett do that passive smirk thing she does in the first trailer, I cringed. That pisses me off more than it should, I think, but she has to do it in every stinking role she's in...They're mostly showing the key scenes they've taken from the 2 anime movies, likely to try and show that they're keeping true to the source and win over the skeptics.
I'm still not sold on this, even after watching all the clips and reading all the articles. It may be a great cyberpunk style movie, but it doesn't "feel" like GitS to me.
I still think SJ was a horrible casting choice no matter how good the rest of it ends up being.
I'll see it eventually, but I wont pay full theatre price for it. $5.50 matinee tops.
They should have just had a brief scene in the beginning where the Major is originally an asian actress but her body gets damaged so she swaps into Johansson's body.
no, that would ruin the movie. One of the most important aspects of GITS is that we know nothing about the majors past.

GitS:SAC Episode 12 said:Batou: I know, let's you and I go together to see a movie sometime.
Motoko: Thank you. But when there's a movie I really wanna see, I make a special point to see it alone.
Batou: And the ones that you don't wanna see that badly?
Motoko: I don't see them.
Batou: Hm. Makes sense.
I saw it. Some of it was neat. Im not sure why they felt the need to digitally augment Major's ass (poorly). Dayyyum, dat ass, etc. Her movements and body language changed significantly throughout the movie for no reason I could see. Felt like she was figuring out character basics (posture, movement) as shooting progressed.I thought some peeps would have seen this by now and posted thier reviews here.....
I wonder how many kids this Halloween will dress up as White Power Ranger. To be blunt the new power ranger trailers look more interesting and I hated power rangers. The Wife and I watch the original GITS once a year, every year.
...Neither I nor my GF were sorry we went, we both enjoyed ourselves.
Heh, that has been a thing I've done before, but not in this movie ;-)You two were making out the whole time and only caught the ending credits. Don't lie.
