[DEAD] SMOKING HOT! Canon Powershot SX520 HS (Refurb) $90 shipped!

Back down to $139, mine should be showing up here soon. The case, SD card, etc. did.

I still am excited for this even if I paid more than the $90 deal. Maybe a luke-warm deal now?

Been playing with this quite a bit...low light photos are pretty grainy, which is unfortunate. Even keeping the camera steady and without blur they still seem grainy.

Maybe I am too picky but even with broad daylight shots you don't have to zoom in on the pictures much to see grainy-ness. Is there any way to sharpen up the photos or is it pretty much as good as it gets?

How do I install that big camera strap that came with it? This is my first fancy camera and I feel pretty dumb.

Have you set it to max resolution? This camera is not known for it's low light abilities, but is GREAT in daylight.

As I posted a couple pages back, check out some of these peoples shots using this camera, a lot are really amazing, below the images, you can see/click the EXIF Data to view the settings used to take the shots. Might help figure out the what settings to use to achieve similar quality shots.

Haha I felt the same way. I spent about 5 minutes trying to poke the metal loops to see if they would collapse.
Finally figured out what the video showed. I'm almost certain I layered the strap in the correct order. I need to check that now...

I removed the lens cap attachment first - then installed the strap (like in the video) - then attached the lens cap strap to the neck strap.

Wow, nice idea. I knew I was missing something. I guess I have to redo that now haha.

Picked this up awhile back based on this post. This is my first camera with manual settings, and I love it. Anyone still confused by some of the settings might find this site helpful. This article is for your new dslr, but most of the same principles still apply to this bridge camera.
