USA Today has put together a list of the Top 10 Video Games of 2013. The usual suspects populate the list but, if it were up to me, I'd reshuffle their rankings. How would you have ranked these games?

With Microsoft's Xbox One and Sony's PlayStation 4 now available, 2013 was about giving their predecessors the proper sendoff. The PS3 and Xbox 360 finished strong in 2013, playing host to several of the year's best video games. But they weren't the only destinations for the top interactive entertainment of the year.

Looks like a fairly standard ranking. I have played none of them.

The only one I really would like to play is "The Last of Us". Which is showing up as the #1 choice for Game of the Year from most people.

Funny how Tomb Raider made it on there and there was just talk in the other thread about how horrible that game is

Tomb Raider isn't a horrible game. I didn't think so, anyway. It's not a *great* game, but it is reasonably fun and interesting. It's certainly worth playing, IMO. I should note that I played it on the PC.

I like games and all, but I wasn't interested in any of those titles :p

According to my Steam account, I only bought the following in 2013:
- Metro Last Light
- Sid Meier's Civilization V: Brave New World (expansion pack)

I didnt think Forza 5 was that great, neither was Saints Row IV. Tomb Raider was largely forgettable. Also a Mario game will always be on top 10 list no matter how repetitive, iterative it is.

Personally I would eliminate any game that was an exclusive launch title for a new console generation. Those are almost without fail rushed garbage. That said, the only game on that list that holds any interest to me is the new Zelda, and that because it is considered extremely good by one of the pickiest fan bases on the planet. I just haven't gotten around to buying it just yet. I have heard last of us is good, but meh it just doesn't look like my style of game.

I don't agree with this list, feels like they got paid a bit to make this one.

Half was paid, and the other half was due to sales. Like Tomb Raider doesn't belong on that list, but was probably paid. Grand Theft Auto V was probably due to sales, but rarely hear anybody talk about that game, other then the unrealistic physics.

BioShock Infinite belongs on there, but I wouldn't call it game of the year. There's a lot of WTF games, like Saints Row IV and Forza Motorsport 5. Assassin's Creed IV is up for debate, cause I'm still playing it. It's not a bad Assassin's Creed game, but it's not great either.

PS. My immediate family still uses "hoobidiguh mask" as a phrase of expression, lol.

Article title is incorrect. Body of article clarifies the list as the author's top ten games personally, not the top games of 2013 overall.

Any list that doesn't have GTA5 in first place is a meaningless list.

Right... just because it is a huge financial success does not make it "better" on a top games list. I had so much more fun and entertainment playing The Last of Us than I did GTA 5.

What's the best zombie (shooter) game released for the PC? I usually have time for only one game a year, and something like that would float my boat.

Mario, GTA, Forza, and Saints row would never make my list.

I can only agree with the last of us. Maybe Zelda but I'd never play it since it's on 3ds.

I'd add Antichamber.
Would have liked to do Simcity but I don't like the increasing reliance on servers.
Outlast could be there.
Rocksmith 2014 because finally guitar was made into a game.

You need three editors to create a top 10 video game list? I did not know that.

At least CNET's list (top 15 video games of 2013) got it right.

I can't really say about Last of Us because I never finished it. I didn't really find the controls to be all that good, and oddly enough I started playing Uncharted (finally picked up all 3 games) and I find the controls on that game to be horrendous as well (much worse than Last of Us), especially for a game where you do a fair amount of platforming...maybe it's a Naughty Dog thing, I dunno.
