how many people did he fly by that apparently didnt even notice the MAV?

it's surprisingly easy to miss when you're in the heat of things. i always keep an eye out for the MAV because i don't want it giving away my position or raping me like in the video. i played on a Metro conquest server last night and someone was destroying us just like in that video. on maps like Operation Firestorm sure it's is easy to spot..but on Metro when there's that much shit going on and ambient noise it's very easy to miss.

it does feel cheap when you're killed by it. so it goes. *vonnegut*

or they were all too stupid to look up and shoot

if you cant handle having to notice the sound and seek and destroy maybe its not the game for you?

but seriously, ignore that trolling I just did

In an enclosed space like that you don't have time to kill it. It touches you and you die, instantly. It can bounce off of any number of walls, ground, soldiers, and takes no damange from that. Does that seem balanced to to you?

Just played some more 32 player Metro Rush...ugh. Total sniper/M320/nade/RPG spam fest. Fucking lamest shit ever. People can go 20-0 by just camping at the base and sniping the entire match.

Just use smoke for your advantage. With some unlock you can have plenty of smoke grenades (6?). This is just enough to cover huge area with smoke and to sneak to the MCOMs. Sure, if you do not use smoke you give those snipers a chance to have 20-0 K/D. It is your fault not a game one

huh? If the mav isn't up to speed it won't roadkill you. I've had one bouncing alongside me before and the driver was pissed he didn't get a kill, because he was flying like a dingbat.

The 'new' maps are phenomenal. Never was a huge fan of Sharqi, but the rest are a blast. My jaw literally dropped when I spawned on Wake the first time and got a panoramic view of the mayhem. Just flat out amazing.

Folks shouldn't get excited about the unlocks being necessary to be competitive. The starting guns are some of the best in the game. In fact, the only real draw back is the fact that you have to switch between team-specific weapons until you unlock them at the end.

Did you know you can ride a MAV? I was standing on one Saturday night while my buddy levitated me. I tried to shoot someone, but a sniper blew me clean off the thing. Comedy gold.

You can fly your own body with MAV. I tried this, it works.

Hate Wake, always hated Wake way to chaotic, there's just no team coordination. Sharky is ok but might be better without the choppers. Oman pretty good. Kirkland - best map design ever - this is probably the only map where random squad mates actually want to play as a squad instead of running off doing their own thing.

u can hear its annoying buzz

Watch your back when you get shot at is all I can say, saw many people are using this exploit to get to locations that are otherwise inacessible.

its a bit of smoke and/or cover fire. Even though people complain about the narrow nature of the map, there are alot of routes and cover spots for all the points. Even without voice communication, there are alot of opportunities for teamwork.

People need to own areas and cover each other, thats all it takes

Speaking of MAV...have you guys encountered belmonkey? Check his stats out...one of the best MAV pilots in the game. Dedicates the whole game in his own uncappable getting MAV kills. Forget the tank/APC/Jet/chopper whores this guy will go 50-x K/D every game. It's like a predator drone, next update DICE will add unlocks for it. Dual gatling guns/MLRS missile silo on it's back....etc.

You guys are blowing the MAV out of proportion. Try it and see for yourself it's not as easy as some make it look. You're also a blithering idiot for not noticing it even in enclosed areas. It's extremely loud and literally needs to be on top of you carrying a good bit of momentum to kill you. When you're playing the shit-fest that is Operation Metro and when it reaches the inevitable stalemate at B and all you're doing is tunnel visioning down some corridor spamming whatever it is you spam, the least you can do is pay attention to the MAVs zipping up and down the escalators and behind your lines. The people getting slaughtered in that video remind me of the same fuckwits in that USAS 12G Frag video. Totally and utterly oblivious to their surroundings. Don't you people ever learn to always watch your back? Sheeeeeesh.

As for people levitating on MAVs, I agree that gets annoying especially when entire squads start spawning on the exploiter.

Hell I can hear the damned thing everytime some one launches it.. As soon as I hear that humming noise I instantly look up..

The problem is there is always some damn MAV flying around, and being that I seem to be the only person shooting the enemy, looking away and shooting the MAV usually gets me killed. Not to mention on a map like metro, with so many rockets/nades going off, the concussive blasts drown out the drone.

The backgrounds with the battleships firing missiles is awesome.

you haven't unlocked the MAV, how would you know how easy or difficult it is?

I've picked up kits on the ground and tried it a few times. Check out my awards, I have a number of Surveillance Ribbons I've picked up as a result.

ah ok. i've spent very little time trying to actually kill with the MAV, but it seems like something you could get the hang of in no time.

There are people that use the MAV and are average at best. There are others that are godlike and it's hard as hell to kill it when there's 20 missiles coming at you from the enemy. The godlike people get 100+ kills a match with it. The average people get 10 or so. Even if you go prone you have no chance against the MAV gods. Just wait until you meet one.

Played was few rounds of 64metro today. Once i got the hang of it, it was pretty fun. Got so many points. SPM went up like 30 with a few rounds played lol. Was going through so many ppl with the usas/frag.Its still a deadly/useful combo. I wish I had it pre-patch. Also ran into my first hacker some kid was like 200~-5 in the middle of the game.

It's amazing how many people don't appreciate the cumulative effect of conquest ticket drain. Played some Karkand today, and the other team was completely destroying us K/D - like a 2 or 3 to 1 advantage - but they were spending so much time in the armor and sniping they didn't bother to cap flags - and we ended up winning by 150 tickets (300 ticket server). Those tickets bleed fast when you own all but 1 capture point.

Yeah you can, you can actually ride up to the wherehouse on Karkand.

Anyone else ever log in, and get shot in the face at every turn. I have some really good rounds, and then I have one like a few minutes ago. Every time I popped my head up, I was getting sniped, stabbed, or shot in the back. GRRRRR!!!!

Finally got the Javelin unlocked last night. The next round I sat back and tried to use it. I fired it twice in an entire 1000 ticket game :/ I kep asking for SOFLAM and I could see they were up, but it wouldnt lock on shit. Do you have to be on top of shit to acquire?

Got the QB88 (Or whatever). Hate the scopes with a chevron. Havn't tried it yet.

thing is, the reward is only 500 points....5 kills.

Yeah, I must say that I've never had one come close to hitting me. All I seen throughout that video was a bunch of idiots that obviously were barely paying any attention.

Let's not forget to mention that while a recon may be able to sit in his spawn, once it gets destroyed, he has to rely on someone actually resupplying him. And good luck with THAT ever happening in this game. :D

Yep. I see a lot of posts promoting the "winning" of matches over solo play. I do what's fun, which is kill the hell out of people. Bum rushing flags and have more deaths than kills sucks.

jav also works with line of sight targeting, but much less effective.

I don't know, isn't that kind of the point of the game? I like scoring points as much as the next guy, but it's a lot more fun to do it in a winning effort.

That's weird because I've seen it kill people at pretty slow speeds. I guess it has to be moving toward you somewhat but it's not like you have to have it going full tilt.

I don't use that bullshit 320 so I don't even have smoke grenades. In any case, smoke doesn't prevent people from spamming any of the other things I've said straight at the MCOM nonstop.

You would really be surprised at the advantage m320 smoke gives you on 64 player conquest metro - where spam is dominate. In a 1k ticket match we were locked taking B back for about 400 tickets, me and a buddy setup some smoke, next thing we knew we had B and turned it against them. This applies to almost anymore.

Had a person aimbotting named [UM]Godz50cal. His name is under Hapyhomelessguy. Can you change your name between matches?

As long as you don't piss someone off for using them too much and get kicked.

Watch your back when you get shot at is all I can say, saw many people are using this exploit to get to locations that are otherwise inacessible.

Also wondered about doing that too, but i'm also wondering if it'll get me banned for using an exploit.

For now tho, i'm enjoying getting headshots. Straight lines (the edge of the roofs), bright background (sky), and dark heads are bad combinations for a sniper. I could have used the MAV to get rid of their spawn beacon, but decided not to :D

Less effective than say RPG or SMAW? How is the range on Jav?

Javelines are slow but persistent. Once soflam locked and fired, Javelines will chase planes to kingdom come, flares and ECM's no longer work. There have been guys that reported getting javeline kills five minutes after shooting them.

Damage wise, it's significantly less damage than an RPG. RPG's will do up to 50% damage on a tank (Two RPGs at the back will blow a tank). Javelines only go for 30% regardless of direction or angle. Aiming upwards will increase the chance of hitting the tank, but it will not increase the damage. You need a soflam to do a real Top-Down attack for the damage bonus.

That's weird because I've seen it kill people at pretty slow speeds. I guess it has to be moving toward you somewhat but it's not like you have to have it going full tilt.

Aim for their heads?

I don't actually do that, but it's probably because i'm also a recon that i'm more aware and tend to go after them even tho the rest of the team ignores them. Those things normally don't do any damage, but their ability to spot at long distance, and hover over building to use the motion detector to see who's inside, is very effective, especially if you've got someone agressive in your squad.
