early bf3 beta access if you preorder on origin
This was also news on the official BF blog.
http://blogs.battlefield.ea.com/bat...07/28/battleblog-4-up-close-and-personal.aspx
Couple new posts since then too.
Origin is new and isn't entirely that bad compared to what EA had before but for posterity I'd rather use Steam. I can deal though.
I agree, but I think it's wrong to assume that just because it differs from traditional BF2 standards, it is therefore a "negative" aspect of the new game.
I agree that it's unfortunate that the game is a hybrid, but I feel like it's unnecessary to paint the game in a poor light because if it.
There you go, at least you admit it's just a personal preference.
ARMA level recoil? go buy ARMA. The BF series has never been about that.
I have ARMA. I also have all the BF games. Too many noobs can't handle recoil on guns in games. It's why COD is popular. Gun damages should be based upon factual information, not what the gun looks like and what some dumb foreign programmer thinks it is based off of movies.
The 25% off email for registering with ea gun club comes 24 hours after you register and it does work for BF3, I got it for $45.
25% off BF3 + Beta Access + Expansion Pack + Physical Warfare pack + Play4Free Items
May or may not work though.
Open Beta for Battlefield 3 (Origin Exclusive)
Players who pre-order the game from Origin will be granted early access to the Open Beta for Battlefield 3 when it goes live in September 2011.
I guess Origin is going to get my money directly... frustrating.
This is tempting. What's EA Origin's policies on redownloading/installing a game? Isn't it something weird like you can only do it so many times a year or something...? Or am I mistaken.
Well that was finally the carrot I needed. I'll be preordering just as soon as my internet is installed...damn move.

Bah, I joined Gun Club when it launched... and I don't get no stinking code. I call total horse malarkey!
Ditto. No code for the early joiners. Thems the breaks!
Anyone know more about buying a physical copy off Origin?
Hmmm, if this is true.....
Battlefield 3 Headed to Steam After All?
...then I just might wait. It would make sense. But, this might be one of the "one hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing" situations where support (aka stupid executives not knowing anything as per usual) is misinformed/assuming.
/me crosses fingers
This day 1 dlc is bullshit. Just include it in the fucking game to begin with.
