Another Giveaway! i7 2600k & more!

[crossing legs]

(Oh wait, that's for another reason. Be right back!) :D

[crossing hands]

This was a fun but a bit stressful challenge. My hardware is from 4 years ago so it was a struggle to get 120K points for June.

I know what you mean, I had a few set-backs at the beggining of the month. Thankfully the switch to linux gave me a huge PPD boost (40-50%) that pulled me trough! I ended up with 146K points.

Kendrak told me the winner has already been notified via PM. Assuming the winner provides his address, etc correctly, if you don't have a PM, you didn't win :*(

Sadface.

There is always next time though!

I'm glad too announce the Winner of this giveaway!

Rebel44

Let us all give our congrats!

Your boxen bits will be on it's way tomorrow!

Been folding about 4 years, nearly 5 million points, and a solid 5.5k ppd. This should be a nice boost to a committed member =)

'gratz Rebel44!!

It will be used to replace Q6600 in my gaming PC/file server (I have to justify power bill to my family) so it will run Win7 64bit, but Q6600 will go to another family computer which will be running F@H.

You should still end up with around 45k ppd once overclocked and if you can keep up your current output as well then you should average about 50k!

As others have said, congrats on winning the rig. I think you fit the profile perfectly of a great team member and ideal candidate to win the competition.

Thanks!

I already have ready ThermalRight Silver Arrow cooler for some great overclocking.

50K PPD would be nice :)

Congrats to another long time folder who has been quietly getting it done......

It wasn't sent with a UPS to keep it folding during transit - and I thought this was [H].

Fold on congrats Rebel44

Package arrived today and all parts are already installed.

CPU is OCed to 4.6Ghz (4.7 require 1.42V and isnt F@H stable)
temperature of OCed CPU running F@H is 58-60 degrees (using ThermalRight Silver Arrow)
I already upgraded RAM to 8GB (because of VMs I am sometimes running)

I am now installing all my programs, games etc.
F@H is already running
I expect everythng to be stable and tested sometimes during this weekend ( I have 14 hour shifts at work next 4 days).

Old CPU/MoBo/RAM will be used to upgrade another family PC which can run F@H 16 hours a day. That should happen sometimes at the end of this month.

I would like to thank everyone involved for this nice new HW.
