I just saw the trailer and its time to put some cash aside for this. I'm going to wait til the first demo or beta to see how much it'll murder my system.

Here's some gifs put together by derFeef from neogaf:

While I really really want this game day 1....I still don't think that EA or DICE will have learned from their previous big releases and that the multiplayer services are going to crash from the sheer number of players trying to access it.

That would be pretty strange for a video called, "gameplay debut"...I'm thinking more along the lines that the cut scenes (like the guy pointing at the map) are in-engine type cut scenes, and the other scenes are game play, otherwise DICE/EA are outright lying.

This is hardly the first, or the last, time something is played off, or misinterpreted, as actual gameplay.

Gameplay can be used for numerous parts of the game. From actually playing it, to a cut scene that at best you can move the players head around.

I see no HUD. No mini map. No ammo count. Nothing at all to indicate anything more than a scripted event.

Using the in game engine? Sure. Still cut scenes.

Yeah that was my impression also, the only part i thought wasnt was the bit on the rooftop and the section of ally the player runs through. Looks like it might be a cut scene with control kind of thing. Never the less, the run animations are probably the same and I think its pretty obvious this is done in engine with in game model's. The lighting looks great and im pumped to see a big city setting. Great cover and intense action for infantry, a cool environment to tool around in vehicles also.

They may want to keep the hud secret for trade reasons, or maybe they just aren't finished with it's final design so don't want to show the place holder, or just want to save it for later. If you are going to assume DICE and EA are lying, well there's no way to know for sure whether it's scripted or gameplay, I tend to believe it's exactly what they say, a gameplay debut.

This is 2011, so don't be so sure about these being rendered.

It's already been confirmed from multiple sources that it is in-game footage. It would be pretty stupid of them to lie when the full reveal is less than a week away.

That's true, but it would also be stupid to debut a fake new video card held together by wood screws, but hey, shit happens. ;)

Ok, this might be my first preorder ever... If this is anything like BF2, day one for me.

Game looks great.. Looks like EA jacked the PC price to 60$.. When it was 50$ at the start.. sorry EA.. your greed doesnt get my $. Will wait for a sale.

Their greed will certainly get my $60. I certainly won't deny myself the enjoyment for several months to save $10. That's a freaking slice of cheasecake at The Cheasecake Factory

How much a game cost is only relative to the value to me. There are some games I have played I would gladly pay a 100 bucks for.

I rest my case. To many suckers :O

Game looks brilliant. My only concern is DICE's horrible network code and meh weapon balancing.

Hoping it gets sorted, but I'm sure I'll be playing either way.

Blown away! Looks like Battlefield will retake its rightful place within PC Gaming. Wait, it was never de-throned! I cannot stress how much I am anticipating this release. They did a good job teasing us even more with this trailer, haha.

What is wrong with PC gamers now-a-days??! Regardless of any grudge one may have with EA, if you are giving crap to this game already, PC gaming does not need you. I believe you know where the exit is

BF3 might just be worth an extra $10, whereas a shitty 5-hour console port with no multiplayer at $60 like...say, Bulletstorm, is not.

Go DICE Go! lol just ordered the Limited Edition of MOH for the beta key! wanted MOH anyway, but free invite to the bf3 beta? fuck yeah im there!

Guess I really should get my arse in gear and get a decent PC with Windows 7.

...Or I could just get the console version :D

But this is all single-player footage, right? I want to see multiplayer gameplay.

I'm so confident I will enjoy this game that I have pre-ordered the Limited Edition from Amazon UK for £29.99, £10 off RRP. So that's $48 converted. No $60 here :D

I've played BFBC2 and Vietnam for close to 450 hours so I reckon it'll be value for money !!

Genuinely excited by that trailer that we may finally have a PC game on our hands that actually pushes the envelope!!!!

Sad, I might spend the $40 for MOH just so I can get in on the BF3 beta. I hope Steam has a BF3 pre-order that includes the bonus BF2 stuff.

Really liked Gulf of Oman, mainly due to the amount of time I spent screwing around in the BF2 demo. Woohoo!

The way the body drops after being shot is incredibly lifelike

WHats wrong with these death animations from BF2 :

Miss that game, wish I could find my CD Key..
:D

But yea already got BF3 on pre-order.. Cant wait..

This is going to be my first pre order. After the hundreds of hours that I got out of bc2 and seeing the huge leap in graphics and animations... Im gonna have to come up with an excuse to take a leave of absence from work.

Im thinking that I dont have a chance in hell of running that in surround on my 470s.

I am excited too, but guys....Get a grip. Your talking about pre-ordering a game you have you've only seen a couple of seconds of gameplay from. These could be touched up pre renders for all we know(i'd be willing to bet actually). I cant wait for more vids, and I will say that this is encouraging.
