The folks at AMD have just released Catalyst 10.12 drivers as well as a new Catalyst 10.12 Preview package that includes the brand new Catalyst Control Center. Highlights of the latest Catalyst release includes:

New Catalyst Control Center, Support for DivX on the AMD Radeon 6800 Series, Support for OpenGL 4.1, AMD Catalyst 10.12. The New Catalyst Control Center enables a simplified user experience to help users get the most out of their AMD product including easily enable 3D settings to enhance game image quality, Setup multiple displays to increase productivity and adjust power settings to increase battery life.

Please tell me they have got around to fixing the flash video downclock/screen flash issue.

Does the "Preview" version include the "full" driver package including the parallel processing for x64?

Still hows the 10.10 driver for me when I goto AMD.com.

Release Notes
Note! AMD Catalyst™ 10.11 does not provide support for the AMD Radeon™ HD 68xx series of graphics cards. Full support for these graphics cards is targeted to be available in the AMD Catalyst 10.12 driver release.

In the meantime, the AMD Catalyst 10.10e Hotfix driver can be obtained here: http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/gpu88-catalyst-10-10e-hotfix.aspx

Where's the 10.12 driver at?

Did they readd the ability to disable catalyst AI? I switched to the 10.11s but I couldn't use them because EQ2 requires catalyst AI to be disabled to enable AA.

so the only thing different is the color layout and the removal of the 'ATI' name?...disappointed

sucks because I just tried two different computers and 3 different browsers and was able to pull up the release notes using my link posted above.

I just think you guys don't want to read.

Yup, I guess I just suck too, I get the maintenance page as well. Let's all jet to Nickbaldwin86's pad and hog all his bandwidth, since he seems to be the only person in the universe who can read them.

How about you copy and paste them here for those less fortunate.

so these were suppose to be amazing?

Amazing would be a 25-50% increase in crossfire scaling.

From the 2nd screenshot you can see that my 4850's memory has to be overclocked by at least 52MHz. Can't do an extra 1 (from the stock of 993), can't do 51. Yay, regressions.

How the hell is this an improvement? These look awful, its all the same menus with a lot more white space.

How the hell is this an improvement? These look awful, its all the same menus with a lot more white space.

I ask the same thing about alot of new things, all the wizards and crap in vista/win7.
I find myself doing things easier with linux with a non gui way of doing things, just cause it takes so much time finding my way around the excessive GUI. :p

Gui is nice, but they have to stop overcomplicating alot.

The old CCC wasnt very well coded, so i'm hoping for a stable one!

Anyone with 4 series cards, ideally 4890s, willing to weigh in here? I'm starting to feel like AMD's leaving those of us with DX10 GPUs out in the cold, kinda like ATI "forgot" to support older hardware from time to time, and I don't want to bother with these if I'll gain nothing from them.

How about you copy and paste them here for those less fortunate.

You ask you shall receive

Enjoy

AMD Catalyst™ Software Suite Version 10.12

This article provides information on the latest posting of AMD’s software suite, AMD Catalyst 10.12. This particular software suite updates both the AMD display driver, and the AMD Catalyst Control Center. This unified driver has been updated to provide enhanced level of power, performance, and reliability.

Package Content
The AMD Catalyst™ software suite 10.12 contains the following:

AMD display driver version 8.801
HydraVision™ for Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7
Southbridge/IXP Driver
AMD Catalyst™ Control Center version 8.801
Important !

Caution !

The AMD display driver and the AMD Catalyst™ Control Center can be downloaded independently of each other. However, for better stability and performance AMD recommends that both components be updated from the same AMD Catalyst™ release.
The AMD Catalyst™ Control Center requires that the Microsoft® .NET Framework SP1 be installed for Windows XP and Windows Vista. Without .NET SP1 installed, the AMD Catalyst™ Control Center will not launch properly and the user will see an error message.
Notes.

When installing the AMD Catalyst™ driver for Windows operating system, the user must be logged on as Administrator or have Administrator rights to complete the installation of the AMD Catalyst™ driver.
These release notes provide information on the AMD display driver only. For information on the ATI Multimedia Center™, HydraVision, HydraVision Basic Edition, Remote Wonder™, or the Southbridge/IXP driver, please refer to their respective release notes found at: http://support.amd.com/.
ATI Eyefinity™ technology gives gamers access to high display resolutions. As pixel count grows, the graphics horsepower required to drive the displays at a reasonable frame rate can increase dramatically. Depending on the game and system configuration, users may notice texture corruption and reduced frame rates when running games in multi-monitor Eyefinity modes.
Windows Driver Model (WDM) drivers are no longer bundled in the AMD Catalyst™ software suite. The WDM drivers install bundle can be downloaded independently through the AMD website
The Drag and Drop Transcoding feature is a beta level feature provided only for evaluation purposes. The Drag and Drop Transcoding feature is only supported on single and dual core CPUs, and supported on devices that support Media Transfer Protocol (MTP).
When upgrading from a non-Stream™ Edition driver suite to a Stream Edition driver suite with the ATI Stream™ SDK v2 installed, it is recommended that you uninstall the ATI Stream SDK v2 Developer component from the system prior to installing Stream Edition driver suite
When installing the ATI Stream SDK v2 after a Stream Edition driver suite has been installed on a system, you may encounter a maintenance dialog for the developer component of the SDK. This is normal and can be ignored by canceling the dialog box.

If this line of the release notes is correct:

Random mouse cursor corruption is no longer seen.

Then I will install these drivers as soon as I am home. Hopefully they finally fixed this annoying as all hell issue.

How the hell is this an improvement? These look awful, its all the same menus with a lot more white space.

Loads up a lot quicker, and it seems to be easier to find settings than it was before. I remember when they had the hdmi overscan issue a couple of months ago it took me five minutes to remember where that setting was, and while I still had to search for it it only took around 30 seconds now.

Sweet. I'm on my way home right now and will install them as soon as I get there. I was having the random mouse cursor problem, so hopefully this fixes that. It will also be nice to have official support for my 6850.
